Harris Voices Outrage in Interview with Howard Stern
dinsdale replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Q: Does Kamala Harris support government-paid gender-affirming surgery for prison inmates and immigrant detainees? A: The government must provide medical care to prisoners and immigrant detainees. Vice President Kamala Harris expressed support in a 2019 questionnaire for “medically necessary” gender-affirming care, including surgical care, for federal prisoners and detainees. She has not detailed her position in the current campaign. https://www.factcheck.org/2024/10/harris-position-on-health-care-for-transgender-prisoners-and-detainees/ -
Pitiful. Your have obviously assumed this was down to a lithium ion battery otherwise your comment has absolutely nothing to do with the article, although it would be fair to wonder if indeed this was an EV battery fire. I did. What I didn't do was assume it was. "This is going to be the Next big thing, plenty of EV are catching fire because of Li-ion batterys"

Thailand's Cashless Leap: Ahead of the Asean Pack by 2028

I seem to see this "urban myth" sometimes when I'm at Lotus, Big C, 711 etc. Granted people who know what they are doing it's fine but not everyone does. As for video evidence are you suggesting everyone starts recording people at checkouts who are having problems and taking an inordinate time to work out paying using their phones and posting it? -
Thailand's Cashless Leap: Ahead of the Asean Pack by 2028
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Rarely but that's not the point. It can and does happen and that can leave millions stranded with no way to pay and no way to be paid in a cashless society. -

Kamala: Illegal immigrants in jails should be afforded the right to tax payer funded sex changes. Trump: No men in women's sports. -
Cannabis Extracts Face Stricter Controls Amid Regulatory Shift
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Kill the goose that lays the golden eggs. The "burgeoning" in the "burgeoning sector" worth billions of baht is NOT in the "medical, commercial, industrial and scientific research...." area. It's in the recreation use market. This is Thaksin. Thailand will be much better off when this man dies.- 20 replies

High-flying news: Siam Seaplane cleared for takeoff
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Why? Oh dear. Article about "thrilling amphibious flights". Guess you'll all have to wait for them to put some floats on the plane. This article is about a small company that doesn't even have a plane ready to match THE HEADLINE. Not sure how this is soaring to new heights. -
High-flying news: Siam Seaplane cleared for takeoff
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Gotta love AI headlines. As for the rest of the AI word salad well I don't love that so much. "Siam Seaplane has finally soared to new heights with its freshly minted air operator certificate" "those expecting thrilling amphibious flights will have to wait" but of course this is from The Thaiger. Only to be expected. Tip: Turn down the BS setting on Chat GPT. -

CNG and LPG vehicles face crackdown after tragic school bus fire
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
No. It's not a start. It's just more reactionary BS to look good. Never happen in any meaningful way. TIT. Out of control bus crashes and kills 30 people. Brakes blamed. What happens? Nothing, apart from the driver being investigated/charged and money changing hands on the quiet. A true start will happen only when a progressive government is in control and hopefully can get rid of the endemic corruption in this country which starts at the top.- 77 replies

New Law Allows Buyers to Inspect Online Orders Before Payment
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yes there is a return policy. I wonder if food deliveries are covered by this? If so it will be just more madness from the empty headed idiots running the show. Nothing will change. Order online and pay online or COD. Check item after delivery. If item is no good or not what you ordered then return. I have only had to do this once. Not real happy and the process took a while and was convoluted but IMHO the system works pretty well as it is. The majority will continue to do what is already the case. -
New Law Allows Buyers to Inspect Online Orders Before Payment
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
You can also pay in cash. COD. No banking details required. No QR code required. What's your point? This seems to be all about NOT accepting delivery before checking what you've got. Some times checking takes me a few minutes to do. Boxes are usually taped up very well and sometimes just getting into the box and taking off the bubble wrap is not the easiest process. Do the people who deliver this have to wait? If so you can forget about next day or day after delivery and the delivery guys will miss out on money. More rules made by idiots who can't see past their nose. Rules like this are made up in thought bubbles by idiots. -
Ministry to Rehabilitate 20,000 Teen E-Cigarette Users in New Plan
dinsdale replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I'm still a nicotine addict but I gave up the cigs 3 months ago (cold turkey). Haven't had even one since. My plan was to not smoke anything for 3 months and then go on the vape. Lasted 6 wks before the vaping started. Yet the arguably more harmful cigarettes are available everywhere. Can't have people vaping though. The 60 or 70 billion plus baht per year in excise tax must be protected. Health has nothing to do with it. -

It's a great idea. Step one would be substitution therapy. Take their vapes away and give them a packet of cigs. -

Thanks for your reply. Fantastic question. Well I'm not an idiot so I guess Kamala is. Maybe I'm being to harsh on the current VP because as everyone knows she grew up in a middle class family. I guess there will be mistakes on every other tablet than an ipad then. It has NOTHING to do with what piece of technology was being used. What a silly comment.
