  1. A peaceful and relaxing day at the beach.
  2. Fill the pic of the beach up with hoardes of Chinese and now Russians and it won't look so beautiful.
  3. Agree except for one thing. The closest 711 or anywhere that can accept the digital wallet payments may well be more than 4 km away which would make the Bt10,000 unuseable. Once again the thought bubble empty headed idiots have not thought this through. Guarantee you that every Thai that lives more than 4 km from where they can now use their blue cards will see this for what it is.
  4. Legalizing dope has quite obviously ruined that part of his income.
  5. Yeh sure! Incredible statement IMO.
  6. Indeed. I'm always amused when I see a 'blue carder' getting out of or into their Merc. Amused might not be right word.
  7. What shops and what stores? Must be thousands of villages that only have some mom and pop shops and a few 'restuatant' type places within a 4km radius.
  8. So who monitors all the money handed for vote buying? Apart from that who monitors the actual election? Like last time "Thailand does not international monitors". We all know that elections in Thailand are free and fair. Just have to look at the last one.
  9. Pitty the senate is full of said dinosaurs.
  10. Khon Kaen is the most affordable tourist destination in Thailand, says Agoda Affordable destination. Sure I guess so. It's Issan. The most affordable? Probably not. Tourist destination? Definitely not.
  11. Oh yes. Fantastic. This crap going on for a month and a bit. Saw the 1st one tonight where I am. Absolulutety hate the things. Elections, temples, etc, etc just 100% noise pollution.
  12. Interesting comment. It seems like every time they say the baht will destabalise it strengthens.
  13. I might be reading this wrong but I think this is more about debt collection.
  14. Which ever way this goes I don't think it's going to be good. IMO a period of instabilty awaits and as usual the elephant in the room is the army and the senate.
  15. Agree again except for the Thai bit. If they can pay to get away with with paying BIB they will. Let's face it a Thai (rich) can kill someone and get away with it. Again I will relate to a friend this time a foreigner. Had about an ounce of dope on him and again this was quite some time ago. BIB wanted bt80k. He gave them 30k but asked if he could have 1/2 of the dope back. They actually gave 1/2 back. Matter settled. TIT and TIT is corrupt top to bottom.
  16. Yes indeed. As I posted above i had a friend some time ago now that was given the option of court on mon. back then it was Bt10k fine or hand over Bt20k and you can go home and not go to court. I have heard of similar cases. Get done for being over the limit, pay the BIB and drive home over the limit. No case to answer.
  17. Your right but we all know that going to court can be avoided as can going to jail or reducing jail time etc by handing over money.
  18. If energy costs are declining globally why put it up? As for lowered prices I just asked the pig flying past my window about this. TRUE it said. It's TRUE.
  19. You assume wrong. The idea of posting the map was to show where the major concentration of fires are i.e. Myanmar, Laos AND Northern Thailand. This is a cross border situation. Fairly sure that if there were no fires at all in Thailand and Myanmar and Laos continue to burn the situation in the North of Thailand would still be very bad due to the predominant wind direction at this time of year.
  20. Take a look at this fire map from a bit earlier today. Myanmar and Laos. It's about the wind direction. Not sure what other countries would be affected from Thailand's burning. https://firms.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/
  21. I know someone who got done on a Friday evening. Choices were wait in the lock up until monday go to court and the fine is Bt10k or pay us Bt20k and drive home.
