Fixing Thai education is not just a matter of money
Blackboard, chalk and 40+ in a classroom. Tells me all I need to know about how much you know about teaching conditions in a lot of Thai public schools. Teachers try to make things interesting but it's not easy in a system that is more akin to the 1950's classroom.

Thailand starts checking foreigners' passports on domestic flights
Photos on your phone of your PP are accepted. It's rediculous to ask that people carry their PP at all times. Are you saying that you take your passport when you go shopping or going to the beach? Personally I do not know anyone who goes around with their passport. Travelling I understand but otherwise Why?

I'm a qualified teacher who has been teaching for more than 20 yrs. I suggest you keep your puerile comments to yourself.

Fixing Thai education is not just a matter of money
More money actually in the system would mean more teachers , smaller class numbers and tech in all classrooms enabling 21stC teaching. Lessons can be more engaging and learning will increase.

Thai Women’s Breast Cancer Cases Increase by Over 17,000 Annually
I'm not sure about this story. I looked into it a bit and it seems like just another alarmist piece of hack "journalism". 2020 the figure was higher. https://gco.iarc.fr/today/data/factsheets/populations/764-thailand-fact-sheets.pdf

Thailand starts checking foreigners' passports on domestic flights
Of course. You are talking about immigration. Seperate to the discussion and absolutelely nobody on here would be presenting a DL or pink card at immigration. Do you think I present my pink card when doing my 90 days, leave or enter the country?

If anything changes in regards to using DL or pink card it won't last long. TIT.

Thailand starts checking foreigners' passports on domestic flights
I have now posted more than once where it says it is an ID card and it says it isn't an ID card. That's how I read it amyway. I've had no real problems in five years using it. Flying during Covid encountered a problem but that was at the other end and was sorted by someone senior to the security who had no clue what it was.

Thailand starts checking foreigners' passports on domestic flights
I always carry my passport in my carry on. As for point one on the back as I have already pointed out it also says it's an ID card. It seems it's an ID card which isn't an ID card which can be used as an ID card. TIT.

I've never had a problem with my pink card at the departure gate.

Thailand starts checking foreigners' passports on domestic flights
Indeed the 1st point says it's not an ID card. This is the 1st point for the Guidelines for ID Card Holders. So the 1st point of your ID card is to tell you it's not an ID card. So is it or isn't it? It sure can be used as one. TIT.

Fixing Thai education is not just a matter of money
It is a matter of money to a large extent. It is a matter of money being taken out of the system it's meant for and being put into pockets.

Non-Thai ID card is a card for non-Thais. It's like the blue Thai ID but for foreigners who qualify. A foreigner cannot have a Thai ID card because.........they're not Thai. Getting Thai citizenship will get you the blue card.

I've translated the back of the card but that doesn't change the fact that pink ID cards have been used for years as ID in Thailand. If this isn't the case how can it be that everytime I fly domestically I show my pink card. Doctors: Pink card. Post Office: Pink card. Bank: Pink card. I haven't shown my passport since I got the card 5 years ago anywhere the pink card can be used. Can you explain this? Can you also explain how several other posters say the same thing? It would seem that it is you who does not understand and I may be wrong but I doubt you have one of these cards. What is on the back bears no connection with reality. Can't leave the issuing Changwat is evidence of this. And you just cant ignore the bit that says guidelines for ID card holders and then says it's not an ID card. TIT.

It is just another "well thought out" bubble policy by the empty heads that run the show. Bit like the tax they wanted airlines to collect.

I too have used my pink card at hotels. Flights I've used it for years. Doctor's clinic no problem. Post Office not a problem. Bank not a problem. All accepted the card as legitimate ID.

I have also translated this and it just isn't used this way. As I and others have said and why it is stated as such in the OP it can be used as ID. P.S. I don't work as a translator but my phone does.
