  1. Interesting. Basically Prayut banned such things. Coyote dancing banned. Those short uni skirts. Banned. Sexy girls at the motor shows in skimpy outfits banned. Same mob is in just joined now with the conservative PTP. This, however, is news. It's all about the narrartive. Rich. crying, always in hospital, abused by husbands, guns pointed at them, subsurviant etc but of course this is the portrayal of women in those atrocious Thai soapies which is acceptable. More crap from the consevrative Buddhist minority.
  2. Yep. And how much flows back to the farmer and how much flows into to the govt, exporters and millers pockets? Also interesting as they have been telling rice farmers to grow one crop (some areas can grow two, others one depending on irrigation or lack thereof) due to drought conditions.
  3. Yep. And to all your other cronnie, corrupt senators. This is a great revolutionary/demonstration catch cry. I would add another "you are corrupt" and another "get out". “Go! Go! Get out of here! Get the hell out of here! You are corrupt! You are corrupt! Get out! Get out! Get out of here! Read this 3 times and I bet it sticks. ????
  4. We all know how this stuff gets inflated so maybe it's a bit more like this.... This was a flight during Covid.
  5. Expect the dodgiest questions. Just like the last one. The wording of the referendum should go to a referendum. It would be rejected.
  6. I'm sure he's correct for those already in the 'upper income'. They will move to upper upper income.
  7. Alcohol up. Cigs up. Massive borrowing from the govt. Just for starters. Populist policies always have to be paid for. This will not come from increasing the tax for the rich (or even taxing them) or taking the money trough away from the pig's snout. As for this it has still yet to be shown how people who are not in the 4km? (can't remember) radius will be able to use it i.e. I would imagine a very large % of the villages in Thailand.
  8. How much of Thailand is already owned by the CCP? Chinese are the largest group of condo buyers. Guarantee these are state officials or familiy or businesses directly linked to the CCP. Absolutely horible dictator that no country on earth sould be involved with. Sadly that's not the case.
  9. The Senate. Why not start there and work your way up, across and then down? Oh! That's right corruption is acceptable for the most powerful who are untouchable. What a charade.
  10. The wet season arrived a couple of weeks ago.
  11. Seems to me like a political tactic rather than corruption.
  12. I agree. Take out corruption (which will not happen) and things could certainly improve i.e. more money for education and less money for the pockets of the corrupt from the top down to the school directors. Education is simply a business here. I was told of a school that had a smart board but it was not to be used. It was simply for advertising. This was from a person that taught there. 10 to 1 the parents payed for it and the purchasing price was way above the odds.
  13. I too have lived here going on 20 years. I see change is wanted as the election showed. This time it wasn't granted. The people of Thailand's right to a democraticly elected government was usurped by minority powers. PTP treachery will not be forgotten or forgiven.
  14. Forced retirement is insane in a country that has no real social security. Off to the poverty bin for you unless you have been in a postion to amass a fortune through corruption or you are born into wealth. No difference I guess. I've said it before and I'll say it again. "Big shiny buildings yes. 3rd world yes." As it stands I believe a 60 yr old gets Bt600 a month unless they have been a govt employee then it's still very low. The people of Thailand cannot be cared for by the 'government' because pockets must be filled 1st.
  15. Fantastic statement. Would you like to back it up as to why you think this is so or is this just what you think? "Thai teachers should be retired after 20 years", so how old would they be then do you think. Your entire post is nonsence.
  16. Most of Thailand is now looking at their lucky tree for the numbers, praying to Buddha, hoping a turtle will walk into their home (yep this is meant to be good luck not joking) etc, etc, etc and parting with money they probably can't afford to.
  17. Bastard yes. Greedy no. I belive that's 3-nil. Bastard can be a term of endearment in Aus. You're a handsome bastard. You lucky bastard. Etc. ????
  18. Ah! So everyone in Australia (yep I'm an Aussie) is wealthy, powerful and greedy as such so am I. Best to take a little more thought and time with your comments.
  19. Do you mean survival of the richest maybe? Survival of the most corrupt maybe? I don't think this has anything to do with nature. Just greed.
  20. More populist policies? Where does the money come from? Smokers and drinkers coming soon it'll be time to shell out more. This will be the 1st tax target IMO. Apart from this the Govt will have to borrow money. Just more amateur pigs at the trough working out how to fill their own pockets whilst looking like their doing something for those struggling day by day which is the majority of the population..
  21. Thais will not forget what happened. PT is finished at the next election. Alas things will once again be manipulated so MFP cannot gain power even if they get more than 50% of the vote. The military and ....... will not allow it. On the other if the ....... has changed by then things might be different and Thailand will be able to grow out of a 3rd world (developing?) country . Only when there is change at the ........ can things change in Thailand otherwise the minority ruling royalist/military/conservatives will remain in power by what ever means.
  22. Sorry no appropriate emoji for this. Not sure if you're being sarcastic or believe this. I hope it's the former.
