I do notice this when driving my car. people not looking as they enter the roadway or as what looks apparent to this story, lack of responsibility when lane changing. Seems nobody turns head and looks or even use thier mirrors.

Correct! You never know who you will get. Some drivers are OK, but many are very scary.

Never had to before, this is the first time. maybe you're right, I got hit up twice in two different locations, once at the ferry disembark before leaving the port and once by army afterwards after the motorbike was rented down the road a bit.

No doubt, I am short only 5-8 and I feel very unsecure near railings just about anywhere in this country.
