  1. What I found jaw-dropping distasteful was the sight of the PM handing out enormous plastic cheques as if it was for some lottery winners....
  2. I wonder why you feel the need to say that.
  3. I can't see how all these hysterical comments help anyone except those who post them. What is needed is a serious review as how this ever happened and a compassionate program of report. Hardly a single post here about the victims and there families.
  4. We need to look at prevention. It seems they need to review the police recruitment process. .. and the influence of graft.
  5. Isn't that a working definition of a kind of mental illness?
  6. Ghastly.... hardly bear to think about it Another policeman and a legally held gun.
  7. Basically your comparison based on going in a pickup once, is worthless, then.
  8. ""remember sitting in an Isuzu once in a grab, probably the worst car I’ve sat in," So, sound likely to you?
  9. I believe this vehicle was built by Thairung, the Thai car manufacturer. It was based on the old Frontera Navara D22 model. So depending on which parts you are after you could chase up Thairung or Nissan. At the end of the Chonburi bypass there are several vehicle dismantlers who might help you with this too. There are also several body shops dotted along Sukhumvit ...you can see the panels and trays stacked up in rows outside Production of the model I'm thinking of ceased around 2006??
  10. ...and what sort of car do you think it was....the only Izusus you see are pickups. So your using a pick up truck as a comparison?
  11. I don't think so.....what cars do Izusu make that can be used as a taxi?
  12. Who all have factories in China. Isuzu make very high quality cars. Japanese brand.
  13. I can't even imagine what it's like to have such a simplistic and shallow perspective of the world as that. Theý say ignorance is bliss, you must be one of the happiest people in the world.
  14. Why do you keep quoting me? You haven't got anything to say.....
  15. Now who needs a history lesson!!!
  16. Your grasp of sources available is so limited, it's no wonder that you resort to false dichotomies.
  17. It would seem that ASEAN NOW don't recognise topics as eco related.
  18. Of all the sources you could have chosen!!!
  19. I see viewing figures were much lower than expected. Lower than Lady Di's funeral and lower than Boris's speech on Covid.
  20. Seems strange that there is no forum to discuss ecological, conservation and wildlife/ nature issues. Thailand has some pristine forests, some of the best natural resources in SE.Asia. Tourism which relies on this, forms 20% of Thai GDP. Yet much of the countries natural resources are under threat. There are severe wilife issues affecting both flora and fauna. Thailand is regarded as a major hub of the illegal wildlife trade. There are serious pollution issues. (v. The EEC corridor) Sea, rivers, soil and air are under threat...property prices are suppressed in some areas. There is a section on cannabis, on cars, on bit coin....surley some are concerned about the future of the Kingdom?
  21. Interesting cortege in Scotland. I like the democratic response of the people...clapping and the "royal salute" - phone in hand lifted for photos Surprised by the vehicles. No Rolls-Royce. First car a Merc Followed by a Bentley (VW) Then a rather dark flock of Range Rovers (Tata). I found them rather sinister like the Chervy Suburbans used by FBI or Men in Black
  22. "The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything." A. Einstein
  23. That'll be those who support the current military based regime?
  24. Just 2? That is your view of the situation? Are you sure it's not a false dichotomy?
