In my 17 years living here, I always use Government Hospitals, and have never been seen by a doctor that has not been able to speak very proficient English. It also takes up 4 or 5 hours of my day, including transport both ways, so I have never encountered this 'one day of bureaucracy' ? After being registered on your first visit, every other visit is pretty much plain sailing.

Abhisit Doubts Prayut Could Efficiently Run The Country At All
Thaiwrath replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
He has not got the ability to run the country, but when the puppet master asked him to do so, he jumped at the chance, and the Thai people have had to suffer the consequences, sadly.- 34 replies

The PM dismissed claims by critics that the decree was being held onto as a way to more easily prosecute and stop pro-democracy protests or protests against his government in general, The same person who dismissed claims in 2014 that there was going to be a coup ! Clown !

PM orders a clampdown on midnight closing rules
Thaiwrath replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I really cannot see how it is more dangerous for Covid clusters after midnight, than before midnight ! Pathetic, controlling measures from this sad, controlling government, and the sooner they go the better. Nearly every other country has moved on, and is getting back to normal. except Thailand !- 117 replies

Officials Reveal Thailand Pass Could End by June
Thaiwrath replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The tourism minister disclosed that about 2.1 million foreign tourists have applied for the “Thailand Pass, but only 1.5 million were granted. With over 600,000 being unable to visit Thailand, he said that, if it is possible to ease restrictions further, when COVID-19 situation has improved, many of these potential tourists would be able to visit Thailand. I think he'll find out that most of there 600,000 tourists have gone to a more acceptable destination already, to enjoy a holiday with far fewer silly "Covid" restrictions, like early closing times in "restaurants" that are not restaurants, and an emergency decree !- 73 replies

Mr. Charnvirakul also urged people not to drink and drive during Songkran During Songkran ? This should be 'urged' all year round, and strictly enforced, with severe penalties for offenders, and is one of the main reasons for the horrific road death toll. And this clown wants to be the next P.M. !

Health Minister says no water splashing on Khaosan Road during Songkran
Thaiwrath replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
he urged the public to start practicing safety measures from April 1st, so they will be familiar with them during the festival. These 'measures' have been in effect for nearly 2 years. If they are not already familiar with them, they never will be Mr A ! -
The venues are allowed to operate in a grey area as converted restaurants currently but this brings many rules and regulations as well as a chance of corrupt officials and law enforcement looking for bribes. A chance ? More like a guarantee. There is a lot of money being made, and it's not by the business owners !
