100% it doesn't, and it's not going to change a lot in the foreseeable future.
It's quite horrific what people are doing in desperation, because they have not got enough satang to put food on the table.

The provincial governors take orders from the government.
It will probably stay as it is, but, whichever way it goes, it will be the same across the board (or in this case bored !). ????????????

I'm confused as to why these articles are talking about "the government".
As far as I'm aware there is no national ban. The bans were put in place by the individual provincial governors. It's up to them whether or not the bans stay.
I think you will find that the individual provincial governors must conform with what "the government" tells them to do, if not, they will no longer be provincial governor, and will be moved or dismissed.
This applies to almost everything, not just alcohol bans.

I think you'll find a hell of a lot of Thais are home already, having lost their jobs when the lockdown closed many, many workplaces, leading to massive unemployment.

I suffer from asthma, and attend a clinic every 3 months at the local government hospital.
One thing that keeps my asthma under control is regular exercise, so I walk, very early, round a local lake, but cannot do it wearing a mask, as it brings on a panic attack, wearing it for a lengthy period of time,
The majority of Thais at that time are also maskless, and I might get an occassional glance from a Thai, but as it is not compulsory here, I really don't care what they think. For me, it's either walk with no mask, which is good for my asthma, or stay at home, and I choose the former.
I actually have an appointment tomorrow at the same hospital (different clinic), and I am going to enquire about possibly obtaining a letter from a doctor, in case any person of authority decides to challenge my decision.
I do wear it where it is deemed compulsory, public transport, shops, hospital, immigration etc., but they are much shorter periods of time.

Surely there is enough police in that photo to ensure regulations are adhered to, when kind people are donating food to the needy, rather than send them home hungry ?
Or, maybe, playing with their new toys (drones) is more important !

15 minutes ago, webfact said:He told Ban Muang that smoking e-cigarettes at this time posed a further risk to public health because infected people might breath out droplets in their smoke right into the face of others.
E-cigarettes were banned a long time ago, purely to protect the profits of the Thai Tobacco Monopoly !
Now, quite conveniently, they are bringing it into the Covid-19 argument, to justify the ban !
Surely smoking cigarettes also entails exhaling, but there is no vendors getting arrested, with threats of 3 years jail, or 600,000 baht fines !

3 minutes ago, webfact said:no Khon Kaen-based businesses have closed down nor has there been mass layoffs, he said,
What a silly statement !
It is not possible to declare that, until all businesses have the opportunity to reopen.
There is a good possibility that many small businesses here will not reopen, leading to layoffs.

Para 5 : "The massacre looked to be the worst act of mass murder in Canada since a gunman killed 15 women in Montreal in December 1989. "
Maybe not isolated but not exactly frequent - once in over 30 years, not days
Para 5: is purely comparing the number of people massacred.
Had you googled, as I suggested, you will clearly see there have been more than 30 other massacres in Canada, since the one in 1989. Not isolated and rather frequent.

Google "Mass shootings in Canada", and you will see it is not an isolated incident.
I cannot see why you are trying to blame America for this tragedy, or, are you assuming all the others also copied their neighbours ?

I am sure that is the last anyone hears from Mr Anusorn Tamajai !

I'm pretty sure you'll have a large increase in people with weight gain, leading to obesity and possible diabetes, by closing parks, gyms, swimming pools etc., with boredom also leading to more eating !
