  1. Insurance only covers you if there are signs of forced entry. I hope no one here thinks this is good advice and tries to follow it.
  2. With that attitude towards man's best friend you might be better off with a goat. Or, maybe a monitor lizard. I doubt that with your attitude any dog would want to jump on the sofa with you... you really don't strike me as a dog lover.
  3. 555 Newfoundlanders 1st time I ever saw anyone use the term here. Ya got any other good newfie jokes? -One day a newfie goes to a carpenter and asks how much it would cost to build a wooden crate that is 1 inch tall, 1 inch wide, and 50 feet long. When the carpenter asks what he needs it for, the newfie replies, "The wife snapped her clothesline the other day, and I have to send it to Toronto to get it fixed." https://www.vice.com/en/article/avjxj5/10-newfie-jokes
  4. What he said! I use a lot of electricity in my house. 2 fridges, a freezer, a fish pond, fans on all day, ac on all night, 52 inch led on almost all day, washing machine twice a day everyday and my bill is around 3.400 bht a month. The extra price you pay for electricity could be spent on a small house where your landlord won't fleece you for your electricity.
  5. Geez... so much bad advice here. I can't remember the title of the report, but a few years ago there was such a story on here reported by TV that a man in the same situation took his wife to court over the ownership of the car and house. The judge gave the man access to 1/2 of everything and the ex had to pay up. As much as I hate the way we are treated here sometimes the law does prevail. So, dude, lawyer up and go for 1/2 of everything. It is your due and it is your right. If you don't fight you will surely lose. Putting up a good fight and not winning doesn't mean you lost... sometimes the dice don't roll our way. But if you don't try you will never know.
  6. Real tough guy? When you show them who's the boss and then go to jail for being such a great father who's gonna teach your kids by example? Are your kids model students? Are you an exemplary father?
  7. I believe @stoner is being sarcastic. He, like I is just waiting for someone to blame weed as seems to be popular now in mainstream media and social media. All the evil in the world in Thailand is now being blamed on weed. Unfortunately
  8. My wife registered online. She did not get a hardcopy of a licence, nor did we hear back from the gvt. But she says we are registered and I have no reason to believe otherwise. Just too bad I can't smoke anymore.
  9. I am not afraid of death, I do not believe in God... So if death is anything like general anesthesia then I welcome it as the BIG SLEEP when the time comes. I mostly worry about the suffering and the suffering I will cause to my loved one. Just because we have health issues doesn't mean we shouldn't try to live a bit healthier. I honestly don't feel like alcohol lately, yet I splurged with my wife and had a very big brunch at the Hilton the other day. When I am really critical, then I will live like there is no tomorrow. Until then, a little restraint doesn't hurt. I am only 57 and I have quite a resume of op's and I have hypertension and COPD. Wondering which one will get me first. Tuesday I am getting general anesthesia for an MRI because I am claustrophobic and I likely need spinal surgery on my neck. So if we want to talk about broken machines I really hate mine and it seems things just seem to be getting better (irony here).
  10. I asked one of my doctors why I had so much phlegm. She told me not to worry about it. I really was suspicious so I did research and the symptoms resembled COPD. I had to ask another doctor to set me up with a pulmonologist to do tests. Turns out I was right. God damned self diagnosis... why on earth couldn't one of my many doctors pick it up before? I believe support groups can help and I wish I had one. Sometimes we have little things flare up and we don't know what it is. A support group has people who have been there and done that and sometimes they can help us before something bad happens and catch it in time. Right now, I don't know what is next and my so called health experts are far from helpful. When will I become a stage 3? What can I do to prevent it? ... all the normal questions that don't get answered in hospitals... NB thaibeachlovers... I used a sad emoticon because I legitimately feel for you... and yes I know what you mean. I gotta get up 7 times a night to go to the john...
  11. And what makes you qualified? An online PGCEi? A Thai master's degree in education? They aren't even recognized in American curriculum international schools... go look on aj.com --> this R_ffles job advert.... Note that a Master's or PGCEi without QTS is not considered equivalent to an American teaching license in the international school job market, but such candidates may be considered if they have experience working in reputable K-12 international schools. Sorry bub, but if you can't take your degree and go teach back home then you are not a 'teacher' per say. I am not a lawyer nor would I be able to practice as a lawyer back home per lack of the degree. Here, almost anyone can pose as a teacher and get a job. You can call yourself a teacher, but unless proven otherwise I certainly won't call you that. Too many crappy make shift quick degrees available out there. Funny thing is is that those who take short cuts are the ones who take most offence when confronted with their credentials.
  12. Being a teacher here over 20 years I can tell you first hand that the only one who gets in trouble is the foreign teacher if he tries to do any of your suggestions. I gave lunch time detention, lines, extra-homework and every time either the work wasn't done, the kids didn't show up or the parents called to complain, and even the foreign teachers back stabbed me saying I was too harsh. Suffice it to say their classes are generally out of control and most actually only care about the visa and the salary. What else can you expect from tourist teachers who have no qualified teacher status. There is no solution. When I do job interviews I always ask the interviewers if the school is supportive of its teachers and the answer is always yes. I ask if there is a discipline code, and usually the interviewers look dumbfounded and usually tell that if there is a problem to bring it to their attention. I will let you guess the end result.
  13. Yes and no. Eventually if enough immigrants get across and settle there it can be debated that the Mexicans are taking over the south west. Then again, Mexico did not belong to the Spanish, whose ancestors now make up the majority of the population. For arguments sake the land was stolen from the native Incas etc... Humankind is really good at screwing each other over.
  14. Nor will I and I can't even smoke anymore. But... what are they going to do about it?
  15. Jimmy crack corn
  16. It has nothing to do with weed. This kid has other serious mental issues and the lack of psychologists and the shame of losing face if one has mental issues are the real problems here. This kid has issues and he is using weed as an excuse in a cry for help and attention.
  17. Stupid attention seeking OP. Who cares and why do you care what people here think? Do you ask what color underwear you should wear with your pink socks?
  18. Could be hemp. I have one looks like that. I bred an autoflower northern lights and AH something or other for seeds. Out of the same batch one came out a mix of Thai weed sativa and indica. Don't know if in the long run it will become autoflower, but using colloidal silver to get seeds from my hybrids. To answer your question, I have a 3 leaf plant like that and it is likely a hybrid of some kind. Where did you get the seeds... might help narrow down what you have. For sure looks like sativa. But answer this for more help.... Are they your own seeds from a plant you had that got pollinated?
  19. I am not Thai. I do not follow much of the Thai culture, nor do I care. I do what is right and if I step on some feet, well too bad. Confront him and if he loses face he likely won't come back. Even Thai culture is redefining itself with the new generations. If eventually he burns down your house will he pay?
  20. There are different brands. Go for the one that smells really strong. I tried the milder one, and didn't like it. If wood vinegar fails go to peroxide just make sure you follow the mixing instructions while diluting. I nearly killed my wife's plants...by burning them.
  21. Wood vinegar is the best near organic pesticide, and diluted hydrogen peroxide can help with a nasty infestation. As for mold, putting the weed on a screen in the open air in the sun will get rid of the ammonia smell and can resuscitate the weed. It will never be what it should be but at least you will get a bit of a buzz and depending on the quantity it won't hurt your feelings as much as throwing it away.
  22. Honda FSX 150. NSR's little brother. Can't find date of manufacture but pretty sure it is antique. Fast as hell_o for a 150. Had a 1982 Harley FLH Classic in Canada but got screwed by a guy who called himself a friend. I am here, he is there... nothing I can do about it anymore.
  23. Good point. Moderator should address this issue. Where is mod?
  24. Amlodipine 2 tablets in the morning + losartan 2 tablets in the morning + hydroclorothiazide 2 tablets in the morning If I don't take my blood pressure skyrockets. But I have to get up 3-5 times a night to pee... that is the only downside.
