I want to sell my car asap to leave Thailand.
Problem is that I can not wait unti a possible buyer would show up.
In my country, there are a lot of car resellers who are willing to sell your car and sometimes to buy your car.
In Thailand, I know that there are companies like "Car for Cash" which are giving money for your car.
But I doubt that they would be interested in an older model.
What other options do I have to sell me car fast?
Facebook Marketplace.Be prepared for the “ tent “ dealers who will offer you 25/35% less than your asking price but you might just find someone who is genuinely interested.

I think he was in London and 12 taxis drove down Oxford Street in a row.
Or maybe he was at the docks watching them come off the ship ??Either way he lets himself down with blatant rubbish like this !!

A point to note is that not all BYD dealerships have accident repair facilities. So if you ever have a fender bender repair might be a little more involved than say with a Jap car.
After some dozy tw@t rear-ended the Atto last month, the dealer I bought from in BKK originally wanted me to take it to their repair shop in Pathum Thani, 40km or so from where I live. Ended up taking it to another BYD dealership in Ramkamhaeng Soi 5,263 or something (BYD CG near Ram 150'ish) - still about 20 km from home.
However, they did a good job of repairing. It was a heavy shunt.
The dealership being built now in downtown Ayutthaya appears to have a tiny plot adjacent to the gas station ( which is Esso but with a tiny Susco sign also ? ) and since the plot was prepared, almost a year now, I have always wondered why it is so small. The dealership I bought from, right on the border of Ayutthaya and Pathum Thani, has a small lounge and workshop, probably capable of 4 cars at any one time.
The bulk of the dealerships here are on the frontage road next to the Asia Highway and probably premium prices, although BMW/Mini are constructing.
Like you say, BYD have probably decided to flood the country with dealerships but not all are capable of any major repairs.

BYD Thailand is really growing fast. On the Rever Automotive (basically HQ BYD Thailand) they now show 101 dealerships in Thailand. When I started getting serious about buying an EV in mid 2023 below webpage showed approx 60 dealerships.
A new BYD dealership open just a few months ago close to me here in western Bangkok....the dealership bought out the Mazada dealership at this particular location...one day there was a Mazada sign on the building; the next day a BYD sign.
BYD Dealerships in Thailand
My nearest BYD dealership is 18km , but another (5 km away) is due to be completed soon, when it was announced I contacted them on Line to enquire when it would be up and running “ end of April “ they told me……. April 2023 !!It’s in a strange location right in downtown Ayutthaya and attached to a Susco gas station as a few are in this area.

4. The Toyota bZ4Z (which has had its problems) Jan sales of 66 was more than all of their 2023 sales (60). Did Toyota have a clearance sale on this model? I wonder if that Jan number is correct?
Don’t see any price reduction for the bz4x .
At 1.836 million baht I was also surprised to see it selling that many .

An interesting battle going on for 2nd place in the Championship at the moment, Leeds briefly hit 2nd spot but down to 3rd again and Ipswich have a game in hand so could well go back to 4th.
I still have a lot of Leeds fans friends back home who are enjoying the action, if they were honest I think they would admit seeing them play well in the Championship is more rewarding than seeing them struggle in the Premier, but they would never admit that !!

Hi all,
Water pressure is so low at our place that we can't even fill an above ground water tank. The two meter lift/head is too much to ask.
I know its illegal put hypothetically speaking how could one improve water pressure from the municipal source so we can actually fill a 1500 liter tank?
Thanks
We have had a similar situation for the past 8 months, had around 6 or 7 visits from the Tessabahn water truck to fill our 2 x 750 ltr tanks. The water pressure was so p1ss poor that it couldn’t get up to anything above waist height.
My next door neighbour bought a small pump put it in one of those plastic storage boxes then pumped up into his tank ( approx 2 meters ).
We managed to control our usage by showering from a “ dustbin “ in each toilet ( although the entrance to each toilet is above the height of the water tanks we could siphon water in daily ), washing clothes and watering the garden using the poor city water pressure.
Thankfully whatever was causing the drastic drop in pressure for 8 months, we never got a satisfactory answer, has been resolved and we are back to normal, although heavy usage on a weekend still causing a drop in pressure.

Ouch this is a cutting review
The price will determine the fate of this “ hotter “ hatch , if they had released this shortly after the MG4 it would have done well, now I am not so sure.Do like the green colour though.

Thanks, but it's not really long journeys I'm asking about. Although that would also be good to know.
Yes, interested to hear about your long journey; should be significantly lower than about town figures.
I took a journey on New Year’s Day returning the day after, mainly highway.“Going “, at speeds around 100-120 the 205 km took 250 km off my range.
“Returning”, hit stop go heavy traffic the 205 km took 189 km off my range.

Question for AWD Seal owners: What is your estimated driving range, dynamic mode at 100% SOC? Mine seems to have settled at 575-585km; Econ mode, A/C on.
That’s driving around Phuket - which often means plenty of pretty heavy, slowish traffic.
Unlike a lot of the range anxiety mob, I am not a travelling salesman rushing around Thailand 5 days a week at breakneck speed, so I don’t need such a high range, but it’s still nice to have it.
Also interested to hear the dynamic range of Premium owners.
Mine is around 650-667 km ( Premium high regen eco mode ) with the majority being short trips near to home and the occasional 450 km round trip.I have noticed that after charging to 100% the range drops about 3 or 4 km immediately ( 20 seconds or so ) after starting for the first time.

There's some confusion in these pages about account types and structures.
Sole Account - opened, owned and operated by one person
Sole Account w/second signatory - opened and owned by one person, in one persons name but a second signature is added later and appears under blue light on the signatures page. That second signatory can withdraw funds but cannot change the account in any way. No rights of survivorship, name on the passbook refers to XX.
Joint Account - opened, owned and operated by two people jointly, they both bear equal responsibility for the account and both are required to change the operation of the account. There is a single account opening application. Rights of survivorship are not guaranteed. Names on the passbook refer to XX AND YY.
Either/Or Account - opened jointly, but owned and operated by two people, individually and separately. Ownership of the account is with whoever holds the book. There are two, individual account opening forms. Both parties are required to close the account. Rights of survivorship are assured. Names on the passbook refer to XX OR YY.
I would assume in the case of a foreigner using the account for holding the 800k ( retirement financial requirement ) immigration would accept the first two but not the last two accounts ?? -

I changed to an O visa ( from an OA ) recently and had a home visit for first extension ( based on retirement ) then had a random home visit 6 months later and finally another home visit for my second extension ( again based on retirement ).

Really ???... its good info to be aware of that...
In 2020 I rented a car on two separate occasions (with UK license) - no bill was asked for and I'd have been stuffed if they had, as I'd just flown into the UK (and didn't have anything with me)....
Perhaps a UK online Bank Statement has our address ??... Amazon UK Shipping address ??... UK PayPal Address ??
Ultimately, if a rental company makes it too awkward we can walk away, but that adds a major element of inconvenience, especially if having paid in advance, in which case we should be 'fore warned' that such additional documentation is required.
My last but one U.K. rental was October 2019 and no mention of any utility bills, as usual, until my last U.K. rental in August 2022.It really surprised me and, although i do carry some documents with me, i had nothing with the address I supposedly live at, maybe i did have my “ address “ listed on the bank website I’m not sure.
In fact i thought I was being hounded by some over zealous Europcar rental guy as up to now haven’t heard anyone else come across this …. until NanLaew’s post above.

If you are no longer resident in the UK, it is illegal to use your UKDL as it is illegal to renew one using a UK address (friend or relative) where you do not live. I believe the fine is £1200. They police don't go around stopping and checking for this automatically, so it's a relative low-risk infringement. If there's a 'routine' traffic stop (does happen), or if you're involved in a prang or the car gets stolen, then the can of worms may be opened.
The car rental firm's won't invalidate their own insurance if you bend their motor while it's hired on a foreign DL that they have already accepted. That's conflating the myth of driving in Thailand on a foreign licence.
When I was picking up an online booking at 10 pm at MAN with my valid UKDL but without a utility bill, it was refused. The clerk asked if I had another licence and accepted the full, 5-year Thai one without any issues. That was back in 2018, and I have used the Thai one ever since.
If you consider yourself a UK part-timer and want to use your UKDL and have the utility bill they need, go ahwead. But you also need to go on the DVLC website and set up a PIN. You give this PIN to the rental agency when collecting the car so they can login to the DVLC database and see if your UKDL has too many points is suspended or revoked.
Thanks, I have done the license check code thing many times since 2016 but this was the first time, 18 months ago, i was faced with the utility bill request.I don’t remember how i managed to convince him to okay the rental but i do remember the rental guy wasn’t letting it go easily.

Who knew there’s a “ secret “ hook in the front passenger footwell ??
For up to 3 kg of your favourite sticky rice and pork satay perhaps ?
Seems a strange location, wonder what the recommended use for this is ?? or does the Atto 3 and Seal have similar ??
