PM seeks Public Cooperation To Address Road Safety
Humpy replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It might help if the police were to do their job. Police road check points in our area begin after school kids are in class. They pack up before the students leave school........ I wonder why ? -
Private sector helps Thai schoolchildren cross the road safely
Humpy replied to webfact's topic in Central Thailand
The schools in our area have school kids controlling the traffic to allow students to cross the road. Police too busy sitting in the gold shops playing with their phones. Do the gold shop owners pay for this service ? -
Non effective police force. So many drivers breaking the law as police officers sit in gold shops playing with their phones. Teenage school kids controling the traffic outside schools to allow students to cross the road. But I do like the Thai smile and the weather .????

£0.6bn a year to uprate UK pensions for Thai retirees
Humpy replied to webfact's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
Had I retired to the Philippines I would have received a yearly increase in my State pension. My military pension is also paid by the UK and receives a yearly increase. !! I make no claims for benefits, winter fuel allowance, bus passes or the use the NHS . However, it's nice to know that that the 350 quid UK tax I pay each month is helping pay the hotel bills of the human freeloading flotsam creeping up the UK's beaches. -
Authorities to Distribute Free Cannabis Plants for Home Cultivation
Humpy replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
'' and used exclusively for medicinal purposes. ''....... oops.. I've just seen a pig fly over. So nobody will be smoking it of course ! Having read a little about cannabis I learn that a driver , having had a ''recreational '' puff or two , must wait 3 hours before taking to the road. Just what Thailand needs to jump from number 2 to the Worlds number 1 for traffic accidents. -
So those with blacked out windows will have to wind them all down as they approach a traffic stop will they ? ........ and the driver will have to have the child's birth certificate with them of course. I suppose there will be seats required in M/C sidecars in future and a seating arrangement for kids in the back of pickup trucks..... not forgetting proper seating for older kids riding on the roof of the school bus.. Sorry.... forgot.... the police do not operate traffic stops as the kids go to school or when they leave after classes.

The monk's equipment also includes begging bowl, a belt, a razor, a needle, a strainer, a staff and a tooth-pick. With his robes, these eight items, i.e. the Eight Requisites are allowed to the monk by the Buddha.'' ... no mention of wheels !! -
