Shrinkflation is nothing new. It has been going on for a long time. Manufactures have to make decisions on whether to raise prices or make a smaller package.
Or make smaller packages AND raise prices.

Why do you expect them to verify foreign licenses when they don't even verify local ones?
Isn't that the point of the police visits? The ensure correct documentation.
If a foreigner, renting a car or motorbike, is caught in breach of the law, the rental company will be open to prosecution.

Popular among younger people but they would not vote for either side!
So what was the point of the poll?

Thai authorities have swooped on five e-cigarette outlets in the vicinity of Bangkok’s universities and residential properties, confiscating 10,000 e-cigarette products valued at 3 million baht.
The operation was headed by Puangpet Chunlaiad, a minister from the Prime Minister’s Office yesterday in collaboration with the Office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB) and officers of Lat Phrao Police Station. The raid spanned across five shops located in the Lat Phrao and Ramkhamhaeng areas.
Among the seized items were 10,000 e-cigarettes of varying types, including standard shaped e-cigarettes and toy pods, which are nicotine vaping devices fashioned to resemble cartoon characters. The total value of these items was estimated at 3 million baht.
The largest shop implicated in this operation is situated in Soi Lat Phrao 107, in close proximity to a renowned private university. Two employees managed this shop and they professed ignorance about the owner’s identity. This shop reportedly made around 10,000 baht daily from e-cigarette sales, mainly targeting university students, while allegedly refraining from selling to those under 20 years old.
Lertsak Raktham, who serves as the deputy director of the OCPB’s Special Operations Center, has stated that all the shop owners will be apprehended. In the meantime, Dr Prakit Vathesatogkit, the executive secretary of the Action on Smoking and Health Foundation, is closely observing the government’s actions against e-cigarettes. This comes after Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin recently instructed several agencies to crack down on e-cigarettes for the first time.
Dr Prakit pointed out that countries such as England, France, and Belgium, where toy pods were initially available before they made their way to Thailand, now have legal regulations prohibiting their sale, reported Bangkok Post.
He also revealed that a survey of Thai students indicated that the region with the highest number of minor e-cigarette smokers is the Northeast, followed by the South, North, and Central region.

Interesting, thanks.
Just wondering if I get rid of it with my antibiotics and my wife has it , could I get it again easily?
Both me and my brother had this many years ago.
Once identified, we had a strict course of medication over a 10 day period and, thankfully, the condition has never reoccurred.

Why can't pattaya beach have lots free public benches/seats in the shade? Why can't shade trees be planted on the beach so people can sit on the beach, free of charge, in the shade? Other beaches near Pattaya have lots of shade trees, lots of free public seating? Why do we have to pay vendors for a seat in the shade? Those beach road ugly palm trees with spikes and thorns sticking out the bottom when they are short, provide very little shade. NNG sold those trees to Pattaya because they couldn't sell them to anyone else for many years. It's practically impossible to walk down beach road pedestrian walkway 11am - 3pm because it's too hot and there is no shade.
I thought that when I was in Pattaya a few weeks ago.
It strikes me that the trees were 'trimmed' to enable the beach vendors to charge a little extra for their beach umbrellas.

In the first year, I dropped from 115 kilos down to my goal of 72 kilos.
I've maintained 72+/- kilos for the last four years, while eating foods I enjoy, without a thought about reducing the amounts of those foods. Never feel hungry. Eat as much as I want of good, healthy vegetables, fresh fruit, nuts, cheese, breads, meats, chicken, fish, etc., and even have desserts when I want them. I eat in restaurants 6-10 times a week, just being careful what I select. Annual health checks at Rajaveg tell me I'm still healthy.
It isn't that hard to be healthy.
Keto works, not as a diet, but as a lifestyle.
Same here, I dropped from 85kg two years ago to 64kg with the help of exercise and Keto.
I'm still 64/66kg and eat as much low carb foods as I like. I dine out regularly and I seldom feel hungry.
Further, I am no longer required to take any medication for blood pressure, cholesterol. An upside of this regime is a reduction in my medical and travel insurance premiums.

They should fight these changes with everything they have, the people who have invested a fortune into these stores and cannabis related businesses depend on the government to support them and the last thing they need right now is a flip-flop and a restart of the war on recreational drugs, which is a ridiculous pursuit on the part of any government. They should hire lobbyists, they should pay off senators, they should do whatever they need to do to make sure no changes take place with this law.
Do you think the government really cares who has invested in this industry?
If they decide to close the 'loophole' regarding recreational use they will.
As I have said in the past, from my observations most of the stores are empty of customers throughout the day and/or reducing their opening hours.
As for 'paying off senators, are you advocating a form of illegal bribery?

Strangely my understanding is that overstay with significant ban is more of an obstacle than deportation in regards returning.
In his shoes I would obtain a visa.
Even then would fly to land border country a use land border entry.
Presumably if he applied for a visa at the embassy or online they would tell him that he has been banned and reject the application.

The Agricultural Land Reform Office (ALRO) has ordered its office in the north-eastern province of Nakhon Ratchasima to revoke the Sor Por Kor 4-01 land certificates issued to 10 people for 13 plots covering about 54.56 hectares.
ALRO Secretary-General Vinaroj Sapsongsuk said that the land certificates need to be revoked because it has been discovered that the plots in question are not “degraded” land, but remain forested.
In his urgent order to the ALRO in Nakhon Ratchasima province on Thursday, he also instructed the officials to cancel the planned allocation of 45 plots, covering 149.92 hectares to 26 individuals, although the land has been demarcated. He made clear that the land in question must not be allocated under the land reform program.

Of all the countries in the world, Australia is probably the strictest when it comes to importation of foodstuffs, and the fines can be eye-watering.
I am wondering why the OP would not simply buy nam prik in the UK, with such a polyglot nation it should be available.
Chilli is chilli, it's not as if there is any subtlety to it.
It can be bought in specialty stores and some supermarkets in UK.

You don't go home straight away in the rest of the world. In Australia you will spend some time in recovery then under a period of supervision which is not short and finally would have to have a person arrive to collect you who identifies themselves to the hospital staff and signs a declaration that they will stay with you and observe you for 24 hours and warns of criminal penalties for failure to do so. Otherwise you stay overnight.
I had a cataract operation on each eye in UK one year apart.
On both occasions I was sent home within a hour or so from the procedure. No immediate requirement for aftercare.
The hospitals advice was, unless anything untoward happens, I didn't need to see the surgeon until approx one month after the procedure.

It was very slow yesterday evening when I was trying to send money to Wise. Finally managed it but pages were very, very slow to refresh. Managed it in the end, though.
I've not used the app. When I've tried to download it it would seem that you can't download it in Thailand.
You can have the option to add money to your Wise account direct through the Wise App.

I think there are somewhat fewer seats on this route than prior to Covid. A friend travelled LHR-BKK on TG at end of Feb and is returning end of March - booked a few months ago. Was just over £1000 I believe - quite pricey for low season. I think the era of cheap long-haul is over - although you do ocassionally see limited promotional offers on indirect flights, but usually only available for a few days and checked baggage an expensive extra.
You are right, since covid there are fewer airlines coming to Thailand.
Airlines like BA codeshare their Bangkok flights, in their case with Qatar Airways, which means fewer aircraft arrivals, but each flight is full. Hence the airlines can charge what they like because they know their aircraft will be full.

Not quite true.
