As long as he apologies for trying to set a fire on a flight, and putting everyone life in jeopardy, then all forgiven.

Until next time, he may actually succeed and crash a flight, hopefully Lufthansa, and any survivors sue the sh!t out of them.

No wonder all these silly incidents on aircrafts are on the rise, as no consequence for bad behavior any more.

I wonder how he managed to get a lighter onto the flight. Was this not picked up at the departure airport?

The station and the king's carriage house are indeed rather quaint.  What the above photo doesn't show is the brand new station

located across the lower tracks and which supposedly will be operational in a week.  I don't quite understand why the new station

    is so huge.......

    HuaHinTrain02.jpg

From an old Hua Hin Today newspaper I recently discovered, note the date.

BTW, the quaint building by the old station reserved for the Monarch has fallen into disrepair. From the faded paintwork to the rotting timbers It seems to have been left unloved.

I have been using the program quicken for over 30 years. In the past each time I bought a new computer I would buy the latest version of quicken and load my past data in the new version. I think it is time to upgrade my computer but looking at quicken they have gone to a subscription type of service where I would have pay a fee each year to keep using quicken.

Do you use something that keeps track of all your financial accounts in one place and would you recommend it? I am thinking it might be best to convert to using a spreadsheet.

All done in my head and a calendar.

Australia just sucks, worked there 7 years and paid income tax in  the highest bracket, and I am entitled  to ZERO.

Also, am I right in saying that the amount of any other pension payments (from outside Australia) is deducted from an individuals Australian pension?

No - you just thought I meant something else.

There's a lot of drugs that can only be prescribed in a hospital - in other words, the local clinic can't prescribe them. Drugs like Tramadol are a good example - they used to be OTC here but then Thai kids started abusing the stuff mixing it with booze and so they brought in additional restrictions years ago.

And Xanax. Freely available years ago now only prescription.

True, but not all countries have legalised uncontrolled THC level gunga for sale, and pressure could be put on them from someone who grew plenty of it b4 it became legalised, it's making some up the ladder very rich, and it's a bold move to try and reverse it now, as big jokes car was installed with Aircon one day, free, would be an example of their generosity.

I suppose, "those up the ladder" have made sufficient now in  a shrinking market, time to move on.

So that's a good thing, right?

Nobody is buying cannabis (according to you), so nobody is smoking it.

Sounds like all the anti-cannabis crowd here, who love telling other adults how to live their lives, should be happy that no one is smoking cannabis.

My comment wasn't for or against the use of cannabis, I'm only commenting what I see.

Two of our local shops have closed down already.

If she was smart she invested the 2 billion baht, or put it into hi-rate savings accounts, she would have been making almost 8 Million baht per month. Even if she paid all the principal back to the people, she would still come out way ahead from the interest and/or investments. Which may be why she is paying it all back, she already made her windfall, she can now continue without their money.

    My thoughts exactly.
