thailand growing while locked down? i doubt it
It is from a lower base - GDP shrank last year. Sort of a poor weak rebound

No one counts them as most are not entitled to benefits. They just go back to their village. Become "farmers"

Phuket - sandbox full of Covid, now want bars?
Not against fully opening up as soon as possible (inc bars) but can the Phuket muppet stop thinking that Phuket is special.

Simply, testing helps identify where the virus is. Every case you find early helps stop the virus in it's tracks.
Testing can identify the type of virus and if it's mutating.
Still don't get it - are you saying that testing will lead to a different level of vaccination?
It will mutate anyway - it is a virus - kind of in the nature of a virus
I am all for pushing for as close to 100% vaccination as possible and as quickly as possible - how will testing help the general and his cronies in doing this?
Testing has had its day - the Virus is here - get vaccinated.

Bad marketing to call the school opening program after the utter rubbish Phuket "sand Box"
Way to go!

If you only vaccinate the elderly, but then drop all restrictions in an attempt to reach herd immunity, then many people would die.
Yes agreed - need to vaccinate the majority.
But still if the old and sick were propritised then there would be less pressure on the hospitals and for sure less death.

I am talking about mass testing - that was the point you made and it was not correct my friend
Testing - I never understood the obsession - we all know Covid is around, so much data from other countries so why waste resources on testing just focus on vaccination.

The UK focused on the old first (after medics), it worked. Not a new focus - a very old one. When resources are scarce, put them where they are most effective - which is not the sandbox fiasco.

Allowing the virus to spread freely while only vaccinating the elderly is a crazy idea. It means many thousands would die unnecessarily.
Also, the more infections, the greater the chance of a mutation which could bypass the vaccine.
The main purpose of vaccination is to stop Covid killing, it seems that even those vaccinated will still get and pass the virus around. I think the more vaccinated the better but once the hospital rates fall then just get on with life. Get the economy working, stop spreading economic pain.

For sure all need vaccinating but if the muppets had prioritised the old/sick instead of wasting the scarce vaccines on an 18yo in Phuket then the hospitals would be less full. Look at the demographic of deaths - might give you an insight.

"the number of cases will not be an important factor anymore, instead it will be capacity to accommodate patients."
Dumb and dumber - it was always this way - al least in sensible countries.....
This is why countries are now opening up
TIT spent its scarce vaccines on the failed litterbox scheme in Covid ridden Phuket.
Hope this is a U-turn from wasting vaccines on the young etc and concentrating on the old/sick who are the people occupying those hospital beds

What in Satans Name has Music got Anything to do with C19?
Does Music Spread C19 , I am sure it Doesn't.
Its a bit like banging your head against the wall, feels good when you stop, so the general believes that the sheeple will be grateful to the him for these little scraps of nothingness. It's all about the abuse (I mean excise) of power.

Bars become restaurants, restaurants become bars
So all bars open in Phuket
Sounds good to me - might get a few tourists now.
