You know, what an absolutely idiotic thing to put in a news story.  Clean toilets.  I mean, they sprayed them with disinfectant.  Wow!  Incredible Thailand!  Certified safe!  (tm).

It is such a third world country and why are the leaders so stupid so as not to see it?  IT's really stunning isn't it?

Must surely rate as the most stupid nation on the planet.

20 pts:  taking intoxicating substances while driving.

30 pts: driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

    Where is the difference?

One's actively consuming whilst driving (beer in hand when navigating the traffic). The other is having actively consumed drugs before setting out and engaging in driving etc (drinking with friends, getting drunk, then going off to drive the taxi).

I am not up to speed with the mix and matches on the vaccines, but have heard the Sinovac at first, then followed by AZ is what people are offered, that said, when it comes to a booster, I think AZ will suffice.

As I have already paid for Moderna which is due in October, if I get the Pfizer, I will stick with the mRNA vaccines and take Moderna as a booster next year if they allow me to put it back which I don't see it to be a problem.

Moderna offers (rego and pre-payment 3300 baht) now avlble from Medpark. Due not in Ocyober, but rather Q1-Q2 next year. So that could be as late as June 2022. Unless you're under 60, there's lots of Pfizer jabs on offer in TH now, I had three potential appointments for the 1st jab, and chose a hospital in Bkk for it. Excellent service, very professional, social distancing, all orderly.

The whole thing is just a complete mess worldwide.

One thing this Pandemic has shown us all, is how totally disconnected and screwed up the world, it’s leaders and organizations are. Selfish narrow-minded morons… all of them.

Well, I guess we can look forward to not being able to travel certain places without taking several different vaccines. Of which we still don’t know the effects of these “cocktails”.

Add to that the possibility of not being allowed to socialize and live “normally” unless you have a certain vaccine in different countries.

A total exposure of a screwed up world. If this virus mutates to something more deadly and kills most of us, we kind of deserve it.

True, to a certain extent. However, if there are attempts at standardization and international cooperation (WHO, EU, etc), the UK chose to walk away from it and do their own "Global Britain" nonsense (first job: clean up their mess in Kabul). So everyone's back to concocting their own customised rules - a bit like the 50 States in the USA ..... lol).

The Thai fascination with these deadly U-turns instead of turning at intersections is crazy. So many times, I have had to apply full brake to avoid someone pulling out in front of me starting a U-turn. Worse, are the large trailer trucks pulling out on a U-turn that think that their size gives them the right of way. In this case, it seems the truck must have tried a wide turn crossing in front of the Isuzu's path rather than starting the turn from the inside lane. Drive in a way that they are always trying to kill you here in every way possible, as your life here in reality is cheap and worthless. The carnage continues...

Starting the turn from the inside lane is a nightmare as well, as it is usually the fast, overtaking lane. Even if the u-turn lane is a dedicated turn off lane, you have to basically brake your car down on the fast lane to use the comparatively short u-turn lane. But either way, it doesn't solve the issue for the oncoming lanes that you are u-turning into: truck or car, you'd never be able to turn sharply into the fast lane or even a feeder lane, if there is one. So that leaves crossing the entire width of the oncoming lanes and traffic and exposing them to a similar scenario that was witnessed in this instance. U-turns such as these are a design flaw and found nowhere in Europe - for a reason.

go for it - why not throw in the buffalo was sick

Maybe the driver was "sick" - bad eye sight and not wearing his prescription glasses. However, these u-turn guys often just seem to go for it, not capable of waiting until there's no approaching traffic, or incapable of gauging the speed of approaching cars, no patience ("here I am, I am bigger than you, you stop and wait for me, I haven't got all day "- syndrome). It's all nasty stuff even cars entering a road or u-turning just sticking half their bonnet into the traffic, closing down one lane, the battle is half won, forcing all traffic to merge in the one remaining lane, then nudge forward inch by inch - bingo, I'm in. You'd never get away with such conduct in civilised countries. A sad confluence of probably a multitude of factors.
