  1. 5kms of that and more. What are you complaining about? Silly comment - we're talking about the last km or so. Will they do the rest of Jomtien beach? No idea, but all your needs are still catered for. So a childish reaction not to visit anymore.
  2. Better before? Well, there was nothing there before. Road, footpath, a 1.5m drop over some rocks, the tide. End of.
  3. You have that all along the beach, 5km of it. Why do you NEED it on the last km as well?
  4. There are enough such markets and "attractions already. Vendors can't self-manage as to rubbish removal and general cleanliness. Road congestion - don't forget, Thais like to drive everywhere, walking a few paces is frowned upon. That's why they already destroyed the tranquillity of Dongtan by opening that stretch to traffic, turning it into an exhaust fume polluted parking zone. Na Jomtien beachfront road is a major access to many hotels and residential houses and condos - this will only increase with all the new developments, slowly destroying the old Na Jomtien. The footpath, narrow as it is, is increasingly blocked by carts, all greasy, forcing pedestrians and joggers into the road and passing traffic. Bad town planning, but turning this beach into another food market is a bad option. If you want the dining on the beach experience, drive a little further south and there are great restaurants tucked away und larger trees, away from all vehicular through-traffic.
  5. DTAC mobile data sim speeds have been dropping steadily, started about 6 weeks ago. Same location.
  6. Classic case of whataboutism. So how does your fishing assessment help in this case? It doesn't. Your statement speaks of lack of intellect on your part, and, for want of a better word, ignorance and stupidity.
  7. Thailand making good on its promise of attracting the high fliers of this world: getting high on a high floor balcony with a low balustrade will result in plentyu more of those high as a kite experiences of giving it a go, only to tragically end up totally smashed on the concrete parking area.
  8. Russia was once referred to by US Senator McCain as a "gas station masquerading as a country". Too true.
  9. If you cough, sneeze and yawn at the same time, you get a Green Card and stand for Congress.
  10. Mulberry paper making by hand 3rd world here, full of the 4-legged ones chomping on a banana.
  11. Land of Smirk: Hub of Plans. Meanwhile, they can't even plan how to build a footpath or install drainage pipes with a decent timeline and actual conclusion of all works.
  12. Education definitely 3rd World. Roads, law enforcement, human rights, political system also. Only Paragon is 1st World. A wafer thin veneer.
  13. I'd wait for how BA.2 variant turns out. Seems to be the next big wave on the horizon. And apparently much worse than anything encountered previously. https://www.cnn.com/2022/02/23/health/covid-ba2-omicron-studies-explainer/index.html
  14. Give the guy a call, he seems to be mobile to do on-site visits ....
  15. Absolutely disgusting, those Saudi Arabs. Good luck to the girls surviving their onslaught. Welcoming the Saudis really does show what the backbone of Thai tourism is: prostitution. Saudis are not beach goers, they are not interested in culture and temples, bush walking, etc. It's drinking, shopping, misbehaving and running wild (not possible at home) - and cheap sex (not necessarily in that order).
  16. The new submarines. A bridge across the Gulf. TG bail-out. Shopping sprees to London. New Rolexes. And all those prices have gone up, hence the new tax.
