  1. As you well know the post was removed and a warning given Now please return to the subject in hand and stop the petty nonsense. …..Expecting the obligatory laughing emoji
  2. Shame people don’t appreciate the efforts of the nurses and volunteers working round the clock to reach these numbers. Sad indictment of society today and the type of people who frequent these forums nowadays that they want to laugh at people who mock them
  3. Plenty of quotes from anonymous people posting on here supporting all sorts of conspiracy theories that people seem to believe. We can all choose to believe it or not.
  4. I would expect them to follow the data and if it continues to look positive then announce some relaxation next month. Then monitor again and further relax etc whilst the vaccine rollout continues at pace. A report on another running thread says of supplies keep coming they could have things back to ‘normalcy’ even sooner See below: “At this rate, the red zone provinces will reach herd immunity in November. If Covid-19 vaccine supplies keep up, if we can get more vaccines and expand our capacity we may even be able to resume normalcy by October,”
  5. Yeah there’s obviously collusion between the government, BP, India, and who knows how many others involved to make these numbers seem real. Im sure someone else will come along to back up your conspiracy as we can’t have good news spoil anyone’s day can we.
  6. Due to the fantastic ongoing vaccination efforts we are now rapidly heading towards 30% of the population receiving those first jab and at current rates predicted that 70% of the population could be double jabbed by beginning of January. https://covidvax.live/en/location/tha
  7. Excellent post and a timely reminder. There are other things that can get forgotten with so much focus on Covid.
  8. There will be plenty come once it opens up. Phuket already a success, Thailand still on UK Amber list so no worries and panicking their end. Sometimes people forget that not everyone is scared of their own shadow and quite happy to sit and relax on a beautiful beach and watch the sun go down………cocktail or not cocktail.
  9. The picture seems consistent in that the numbers seem to be falling off in many of Provinces as well
  10. Excellent post. There will come a time when the balance will be reached and a decision will have to be made in terms of number of deaths through Covid vs the economy, people’s livelihooods, and all the other negatives caused by lockdowns, mental health, suicides etc. Not an easy decision for anyone but as high say it’s not going away and life will still goes on once people learn to live with that.
  11. Let’s hope so. If the trends continue favourably an ease of lockdown measures will follow which the Thai people desperately need.
  12. As stated in the OP now 8.5% of the population double jabbed with a 70% target of mid January at the current rates of vaccination. https://covidvax.live/en/location/tha
  13. Some pretty big projects there showing continued confidence that tourists will return once things resume to normal.
  14. Obviously varies but some areas are doing remarkably well.
  15. Great news. I’m sure they would have done some extensive modelling to compare the two.
  16. If those forecasts are accurate I’m sure it won’t be long before there are some relaxations and priorities such as children’s education is opened end up. The Hotel sector seem bullish going by the post reported above so I would expect restrictions on international travel to follow.
  17. Surely they are going to run of vaccines soon at this rate. ????
  18. In the next few years, 126 hotels with 31,053 keys are due to open across Thailand, our research team reports. We take a closer look at these upcoming launches. Thailand’s hotel openings by date Despite the ongoing Covid-related travel restrictions facing many international tourists, Thailand’s hotel sector seems to have high hopes for the future. In the second half of 2021 alone, 32 properties with 2,400 rooms are scheduled to go live across the country. https://tophotel.news/country-overview-thailand-to-gain-31000-new-hotel-rooms-infographic/ I would think they are anticipating the relaxing of lockdown and opening up.
