Amazing. This gets better every day.

I was a similar situation two years ago. You'll need a certificate from a doc, some kind of residency certificate, fill some forms, pass the test - as mentioned above, and pay a small fee (don't remember how much).
I paid a company to take care of most of it, just arrived at Bang Chak BTS for the doctors appointment and then was taken to the DLT and directed to the right places at the right time. Whole process took around 3 hours.

Yes, the pipe will surely be traumatized for a long time.

In Thailand - Cheers in red cans. In Lao - Beerlao Gold. And various craft IPAs, whenever I can get them.

Ah, so that's how they masturbate here. Cultural differences, is all.

The key point here is that you cannot compare the efficacy of different vaccines, as it was measured during different clinical trials, which means radically different cohorts, different stages of the pandemic and multiple other factors that we may not even be aware of.
So the whole discussion about one vaccine being better than the other is completely pointless, when comparing just the efficacy. Look at "preventability" of hospitalizations and deaths, adaptability to new strains, possible side effects and, last but not least, availability.
At this stage, in this part of the world, it's best to get vaccinated with whatever is available. You can always get another vaccine in 6 or 12 months, once there is more data and more options are available. If the efficacy is above 50%, it is good enough, end of story.

No official dates at this moment.

In my case it is more of a second bike than next. Currently have a Honda XR250 (the one the photo), which I absolutely love, but would like to get something standard with a bit of a retro feel... So I am now eyeing a Kawa Estrella. An Enfield Himalayan would be even better, but not easy to get in my current location.

Lots of very active FB groups - Laos Expats, Visa Laos, Vientiane Social, to name just a few.

AFAIK not possible at this stage. I know there was a procedure to get people in medical emergency from Laos to Thailand in the early days of the lockdown, but that seems no longer possible.
Still, you should ask on the Expat Laos FB group, where you will get a lot of up to date information from people actually handling similar cases. PM me for specific names, I know of people handling this kind of emergencies.

pattaya beats isaan any day o the week regardless what if any brothel you fancy,
firstly its right at the sea so the temperature dont get too hot and not too cold either,
secondly isaan cant compete in variety of goods you can get in pattaya,
especially food variety
OK. But you are comparing to Isaan. What about Southern Thailand? Hua Hin? Samui? Phuket? Krabi?
These places are completely out of my radar, because of the overcrowding, mass tourism etc. But they surely are a viable alternative to Pattaya?

no, that is not the only attraction, its my home and i dont do either thai woman nor beer any longer, i will not voluntarily change it for an isaan <deleted>hole
Pray tell what are the other attractions? I am not trying to be difficult here, but I always had a problem understanding why do people choose to live in Pattaya?

Well, this is where putting all your eggs in the same basket gets you... The city itself is simply ugly, the sea polluted, the beaches a sad joke. The only attraction this place had was booze and whores. And even that was starting to wear thin in recent years, with all the bright ideas to reinvent the city as a "first class family resort" and what not.
So it will definitely fail in a big and painful way, shrink and possibly reinvent itself as something much smaller, but possibly smarter in 5-10 years.

Attracting wealthy tourists is going to be a huge challenge, as Thailand is commonly regarded as a cheap holiday destination. Plus it is polluted, overdeveloped, the customer service is mostly atrocious, little English spoken anywhere etc.
But he has a point re: digital professionals. This is a huge trend (of which I am a part of) and it will continue to grow. The virus acted as a catalyst for the transition from office-based time wasting to typically more efficient remote work.
I am getting lots of feedback from various parts of the IT sector, even from typically conservative areas, such as banking, where decision makers are starting to see the benefits of widespread remote work (same work quality, efficiency usually better, huge savings on office space).
I said that before, multiple times: Thailand should provide an easily accessible digital professional visa/work permit combo, the same way Laos or Cambodia do with regular work permits/visas. If properly promoted, this could attract thousands of remote workers, who would definitely spend more than your usual backpacker, package tour tourist, shabby sexpat etc.
Not sure if I would come back, but there are millions of tech bros, for whom working remotely from, say, Samui would be a dream come true.
The biggest issue here is the rigid local mentality, rising xenophobia and a complete cluster<deleted> in terms of predictability and clarity of regulations.

Good, friendly, english speaking service. U can message them on Facebook with your
requirements before u travel.
Thank you, very helpful. Already messaged them.
There is also a wholesale/retail pharmacy opposite Prichaa market, but I dont know its name.
I cannot find this market on google maps. Could you please post the location? Thanks.

Hi All,
I will be in Udon in a few days and will need to purchase some meds - available without prescription, but typically not in stock of an average pharmacy.
Need recommendations of decent, well stocked pharmacies - where English is spoken and where it is possible to order meds for next day delivery if they are not in stock - just like in my regular pharmacy in Bangkok.
Thanks.

Thailand-Pakistan ties at 70: stronger and more strategic
in Thailand News

"In 2018, Pakistan exported mostly: knitwear (13.2 percent of total exports); articles of apparel and clothing accessories (11.3 percent); bedwear (10.4 percent); cotton fabrics (9.4 percent); rice (7.4 percent) and fruits, vegetables & preparation thereof (2.9 percent)."
Looks like the start of a very promising cooperation!
LOL.
