  2. but this only applies if you fly direct to UK ? if you do a 10 day stopover in an acceptable country, then there is no need to quarantine ? And some other countries accept the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines , some with double dose, some with single dose ?
  3. Dubai ? Canary islands only require one dose to allow entry ?
  4. what if you stopover for 10 day holiday on the way to the UK ? And not have any vaccinations ? no quarantine ?
  5. vaccinations not required, but if not vaccinated, then 14 days quarantine, at around 100,000 baht ?
  6. does anyone pay these speeding tickets ? Think i have paid one about 6 years ago, never paid one since
  7. I'm in Nakhon Phanom , Isaan But don't want mixed vacs Have been offered Sinovac a few times, but would rather wait for Pfizer or Moderna Thanks
  8. yup, about 100,000 baht which is why i want to stop over somewhere like Canaries, Spain, etc, for 10 days holiday first. This bypasses the need for uk quarantine
  9. Just checked site that says 2 doses of the same vaccine, Pfizer, Moderna, Astra Zeneca or Janssen are acceptable, but not mixed vaccines But trying to find out if the vaccines in Thailand have been approved by the European Medicines Agency Can travel to the Canary Islands with only one dose of vaccine, most other countries want 2 doses, plus testing
  10. Hi there, hope this is in the right place I'm looking to go back to the UK for a couple of months, but want to avoid the expensive quarantine in the UK I believe i have to have 10 days between leaving Thailand, and entering the UK Is there any country that would allow some one to enter from Thailand without having had both vaccines I want to get the jabs while I'm in the UK rather than getting Sinovac or mixed while here in Thailand , which is not accepted in the UK, Somewhere warm and cheap would be good Any ideas ? Thanks
  11. but you could save a lot if you take a 10 day break somewhere like Spain or France on your way back to UK, no quarantine then no option for this on the way back to Thailand
  12. Thanks Guys He live in a small village near me, so have convinced him that if he goes to Pattaya, he will have to quarantine when he arrives back not sure what the locals would do to him if he sneaked back in and they found out, especially if he did get infected They say they are opening up in a couple of weeks, so not sure what that actually means for anyone living here who wants to travel, but told him to wait and see first He needs to renew his visa there, but ifs still problems, should be able to post it, i think Thanks again
  13. yes. mony of which are live vaccine too, but what long term study for the covid vaccines, either the "inactive" or the MRA ?
  14. so Pattaya is not a red zone anymore and has no restrictions ?
  15. but doesn't this also apply to all the vaccines ? We just don't know what any long term problems are ? We know they save lives in the short term, but after ?
  16. quick question for a friend of mine Can he travel to, and from Pattaya back to Isaan without quarantine ? If he has 2 vaccines, of any type, does he have to quarantine on return home Thanks
  17. seem to havelots of problems with using my Kasikorn debit card at Kasikorn ATMs rejects my card saying insufficient data yet use other banks ATMs no problems, so now avoid Kasikorn where possible
  18. but not the UK, if first jab is sinovac and the astra is showing to be ineffective with the new Delta strain too
  19. and any restaurant that if found to be infected with covid should also have its licence removed and fined, for allowing their staff to transmit this deadly virus
  20. happened this week in the next village. Shopkeeper and daughter get sick, so what did they do, they close the shop and then close the road through the village No testing of potential victims, only the local retired doctor was checked and had to isolate for 2 days, and close his shop, while the adjoining food shop was left open with customers
  21. I would except they dont accept ashes there i dont think She had a nice cremation though You been in ICU lately ? or just like to spout off
  22. Thanks, you could also argue vaccines are not required in Samoa, Tonga, niether of which has anything to do with Thaialnd, just like Chile Nice word, If, says so much yet means so little. Deaths may be higher, or maybe not, how would you know ?
  23. yup, loads of them need ICUs dont they, or is the ward only for Covid patients now Seemed to be plenty of patients with illnesses other than covid, when we took grandma in ,dont think there was even one covid patient there Lots of road injuries, cancers, influenza, , have them by the thousands, but covid ? Heard a few weeks ago someone came back from Bangkok to near our village and was infected, but not hospitalized, other than that none known around here Still doesnt stop people sh""tting themselves though, even when they know they have more chence of dying going to the shops
  24. many farangs die each year in Thailand, but how many of these die from Covid ? Not heard of one person yet
