Thailand's Tourism Faces 'Zero-Dollar' Tour Crisis
Aviatorhi replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
They wanted mass instead of quality (in the dollar sense)... Time to adjust course. Mass needs more infrastructure anyway, for very low ROI. -
Has never happened to me if you properly ignore them as if they don't exist. However, as soon as you interact you open pandoras box to anything from a joke to a flurry of insults in Thai to a robbery. IF it was the latter - well done on the KO; if it truly was unprovoked - the guy needs some time in a prison. Truth is probably somewhere in between and I doubt he will have a "positive outcome" if he is found.

Bud, you're out of your depth - the hydraulic system is running full time and a leak in it will cause at least an abnormal, and possibly emergency, condition - alternate gear extension doesn't require HYD pressure. With the gear doors appearing closed it seems the fault wasn't significant and/or easily repaired before the photos were taken... though I don't fly Airbus aircraft, logically, a system like this doesn't include alternate door retraction mechanisms. As for this being related to "FlyDubai"... I'm not seeing the connection - that airline only operates the 737 (with 787s on order). Possibly some sort of charter for a mass group sold by FlyDubai and farmed out? But that's about the closest it's going to get.

Thai Pilots Association opposes eased restrictions for foreign pilots
Aviatorhi replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
They don't have enough of their own, Thailand does, if they can get the training pipeline flowing. -
Look, I'm not going to get into the details - but the two or three showings a place needs to end up with a taker are well worth a month of rent to me. Appreciate everyone else's responses. Seems that it's kind of a gray area and real estate (professionals) being largely unregulated here means it's not something to worry about too much.

Wonder if any forum members might have insight or experience with the nuances of renting out condominiums they own (specifically ones owned directly by me in foreign quota without any "company" shenanigans involved) - vis a vis - do I need a work permit to perform the basic functions of showing a room, doing the inspections, general tenant "management" if I were to do so without using a real estate "agent"?

It's the economy [redacted], prevelance of birth control, and reluctance to enter into relationships. Developed economies naturally see decreases in birth rates... Thailand is developing. You actually think that "non straight" people were forcing themselves to be straight in the past? 🤡🤡🤡 Go cry about your bargirl shortage somewhere else.

Have you ever actually been to one? Sounds like the advice one gets from those who dream of, but never go to, these places. Seriously - if you're this paranoid best just stay home. -

Wrap a metal cylinder (1 foot length) around all the trees, stops the rodents from getting up into the trees to make nests and keep out of view... saves you 3/4 of the battle. -

You just need to establish TFRs for the days of the festivals. Also, he literally "dodged" it by miles while taking a picture of it.- 33 replies

Thai Airways Faces Backlash Over Business-Class Seat Fiasco

There are no (pax oeprabable) emergency exits in TG BC cabins. Most airlines avoid BC seating in those parts of the cabins for multiple reasons. -

Fly TG and you're entirely susceptible to a product which is only "updated" at time of manufacture, and never again. A350/787? Great. 747? Ooof. That's before you get to the deferred MX. -

7-8 months. And his stipulation was "reenter by air every month"... Unless he's willing to fly BKK-SIN-BKK or something once a month to get a stamp (which is asinine), he will likely be "abroad" for more than a few hours. If you've got a few weeks between all your departure and arrivals it's a non issue. Only the OP can clarify this - not you or me.
