Yes, among extreme right wingers there is this Pavlovian reflexive use of "Marxist" to mean anyone they disagree with. Above all else, Marxists believe that the state should own all means of production for the benefit of workers. Obviously nothing to do with abortion.

What he said was: "I think that health care generally should be publicly funded; I favor the socialization of other broad societal and industry sectors as well."

Among leftists, I guess that just makes him a Democrat.

And I sated my position clearly, your buddy just dodged.

Why not state your position on abortion clearly, as long as you're here?

Reporting will continue till israel manages to kill the last journalist. The reporters in Gaza are Gazans, and will not be leaving any time soon. I suppose the israelis will try blocking the internet and phone use.

If they're going to kill all the reporters anyway, why announce the shutdown? They could just bomb it and claim it was hit by an Iranian missile.

    Lame deflection...

    Deflection from what?

Kamala ("Momala?) quit saying she believed Tara Reade long before Biden lied and tried to take credit for the vaccine even though he was vaccinated before he took office, which your link supports.

Once Kamalagot the VP nod, she quit saying she believed Biden sexually assaulted Tare Reade.

to me, this is a “bad look” so to speak.  Sure, few countries really WANT foreign media, in country, reporting on anything that essentially makes them look bad … that’s a pretty universal idea..

That said, to me, banning them like this, just adds to their credibility and allow them to now say “see! they didn’t want us to see X, Y and Z so they kicked us out”

This is not say what’s going on in country is right, wrong or otherwise- that’s a ver different discussion.. but as to the ACT of banning them from country goes, that to me just seems to be adding to Al Jazeera’s credibility and bolsters their claims..  I would have thought the government media relations arm would have tried harder to shape the narrative THEIR way and present that outwardly.. Sure, it’s unlikely that media like Al Jazeera would have taken the bait, but at least the government can avoid kicking them out and the negative PR that would come with it.

I think there is some confusion. Israel is not stopping Al Jazeera from reporting or denying them access to Gaza. They just see allowing them to operate inside Israel as a security risk, and because of that, have shut down their Israeli office. They are still free to go anywhere and report anything they like.

The "genocide" is being perpetrated Gaza, not in Israel, yes? So, nothing is stopping them from continuing to report, they just need to relocate their base of operations.

    B.S.!

Biden did not say he will never take the vaccine (that's why you don't provide any source). He said that that he would get the vaccine as soon as Fauci told him it was safe.

The reason he got his first jab "before he was inaugurated" is that the vaccine was not approved before that. The vaccine was approved on 11 December and he was vaccinated  on 21 December. Actually, he was vaccinated before Trump! 🤣

Yeah, was that back when Kamala was still saying she believed Tara Reade?

I would agree with you on the semantics, except that Trump says "They're poisoning the blood of our country". (https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-repeats-poisoning-blood-anti-immigrant-remark-2023-12-16/).

He has said this on more than one occasion. Trump would appear to have no issues denigrating others for acts that he has no issues doing himself.

Not well phased, but he was talking about the left, not immigrants.
