  1. What do you think? Many miserable grumphy angry men her who lash out on many different topics. Why is it so?
  2. The question should have been, how much you should pay a girl to rescue you and take care of you! Save your life from degrading yourselves in Thailand, do all the mistakes you possible can do and end up sour, grupmy, annoying and or alchoholic
  3. My wife have a full time work, taking care of the farm together with me, and where did I say a wife with full time job is not a decent woman? She can stil be in charge of the household? Right. I think we just complicate the matter of who is in charge of the monthly budget, and spending time on not so important issues here ????
  4. I think you have to reread my first post! No presuming or dictating anything, and no absolute truth in what I wrote. As said I have got to know quite a few thai marriages, also thai married to foreigners, and same for her parents. I do not state everyone should do the same, especially if your wife is not reliable to handle the houshold economics. We are talking about montly budget, not savings or any other assets you own. My economic in Thailand is limited to what I transfer.
  5. I think you misunderstand, Im in controll of my assets, my money, but what I transfer to Thailand for monthly budget, is in control of my wife. And my experience is, most thai wifes, is in control of the household. Not every Thai woman is cabable to the same, and not my intention to try to convince you either, but from what I have learned during my two decades of travelling and living in Thailand, it is the same for most of the thai functional families I know. My wife do not need to ask for money to go shopping or pay expenses, and if she is going to buy something for her self, she always ask, and I tell her if Im going to buy something for myself, but I really do not need to, but Im still do so she knows. Gives her responsibility, confidence and also trust.
  6. You see it from a western point, if you see it from a Thai perspective, I have learned that the women is in charge of the household and expenses.
  7. I have been living in Krabi, Koh Tao, Koh Phanang and stayed in Koh Samui, as well Hua Hin and Pattaya, and The Islands in the gulf have some of the worst storms I have experienced, as well in beginning of January at Koh Lipe where we got stuck for a whole week. Hua Hin is the place with less average rain pr year. It is always good to have options wherever you locate in Thailand, since every place have its own seasons concerning weather and smoke. The islands is great during the months when other places have rain season and the more polluted periods with burning the fields.
  8. A decent thai woman is in controll of the household and the monthly expenses, and if she is taking care of you, you take care of her and her needs, and that can be different from one to another depending on her lifesituation. If she is your wife and she is a housewife, shouldnt you make sure she have everything she needs including pocket money and money for her self without making her an employe? What works for you might not be the same for others, and not speaking about bar girls but generally. My wife have access to everything I transfer, but not what I have oversea, and that works for us. If she could not controll it or I did not trust her, I would not married her after 6 years of relationship and been living together for more than 5 years.
  9. Rain season can be quite rough in Koh Samui. So check the average rainfall compare to other places useally from mid september mid of desember.
  10. All depending on your budget, lifestyle and how old you are! I could live a few months on either Koh Samui or Koh Phangan every year, but the high season, I would prefered elsewhere. Just do not invest everything one place and think thats going to be great in a few years. Have a plan B
  11. What he said https://youtube.com/shorts/4pFiI8DolK8?feature=share
  12. I really do not need to prove myself to you, take it or leave it. A bit sad isnt? That you feel the need to defend everything I wrote against Pattaya earlier. I did like the night club scene, some of the food uppertunities and concerts and bars with decent staff. Go to bed now
  13. You had to edit your post about being protons bf? Yes I have been to Pattaya many times, and I know what I like and do not like. Its a personal opinon based on what Im comfortable with, nothing else. But be free to express your meanings about me and my choices and my statements, no worries
  14. Anyway, what he isolated stated is nothing wrong with, that was my point. Many bar girls is great girls like anyone else, so I cant share his feelings against the girls in business. Im more of dislike people who take advantage of others because they can, and some might say some girls do that as well as those who frequently visit those bars. someone told me, it is not just black and white, and what is it with those with the loudest voice? Useally they have some issues to
  15. Not liking Pattaya, crime, prostetution stds, the crime and what it represent to the world, doesnt mean you hate women ????
  16. How much longer will this forum survive? I guess this place for many, is the one of the few places most here talk to other expats who is in the same situation as themselves, exept meeting up at the local bar, birthdays, playing golf or other activities. How many here meet friends regularly outside those arena's? Dropping by and sit down having a chat without drinking, or doing an activity? I have tried to connect with a few around our area, but we are to far apart by life experiences, political, and missing a connection to maintain a friendship. Anyway easy to jump on the bike and hook up with someone riding for a few days, and thats great, at least something that connects us and sharing experiences. I have a few friends around in Thailand who I see randomly, but making the extra effort to keep a relation to someone closer, is not worth it.
  17. The truth is rarely pure and never simple someone said once. Consequenses of telling the truth about the deep state, is that there is no easy solutions if you want to stay status Q or evolve. Meaning status is not acceptable for many people. See Us throughout there rise and up today where controlling the world marked with power and treats as treaths, is not enough anymore when internal problems rise dividing the country. It is easy for a man like Trump to create his cult with easy retorics true or not.
  18. And if 10% of what he says is true, thats enough to give hime the stage he is searching for.
  19. not harder than it should have been! Worked in many fields, won, lost and learned, and now living by my experiences. Life became easier after 50 and still gettting better. A few more ups and downs is expected as life goes on. We all going to die once, but today ,,,,,,,, ,,,,,, Cherish the day
  20. friends doesnt comes easy, the older you get, same as women. The funny part is most of us, is more forgiving about our friends bull pie, than our women. we can tolerate more bad behaviours from friends than we can from those who we love where small things easily gets annoying. Why so? Almost zero tolerance sometimes before it becomes a problem.
  21. It is not Trump thats the problem, it is the deep state, and his followers believes that is true! somehow it might be true, but Trump is not the cure.
  22. Working offshore in Thailand, compare to Europe? Cant imagine how it is ,when experinced british sector comparing the the norwegian.
  23. Im sure you understood my norwglish
  24. Not for everybody to have any of those two breads. Takes alot of work to make them good family dogs.
