You would apply for the visa at the designated embassy for the country you are in.
Perhaps check this list of embassies to determine which one you would apply to https://www.thaiembassy.org/.
Then you could check to find out if you can use the e visa site (https://thaievisa.go.th/)
You may also be able to apply for a visa by mail to the designated embassy.
Thanks brother ubonjoe, very helpful as always!

Currently in a country there is no Thai embassy, only a small consulate and they can't issue visas, they advised me to contact the nearest Thai embassy in a country next to the close neighbor one, to fly 1000s of miles, boring idea,
my question: is there any option to submit the requirements by email and obtain the visa online?
Otherwise, maybe will fly to Vietnam and apply from there, that's easier and faster I done before several times, submit today and collect next day,
Thanks in advance!

Hey guys,
I'm planning to travel to vietnam around the first week of Fabruary to buy some products from there,
What is the condition to apply for visa to visit Vietnam these days?
fully vaccionated with Covid19-pass, are there any requirement besides the vax passport? quarantine required?
shall request a letter from the factory we are going to visit there? or how to make the visa procedure simple and faster?

Transfer said funds to wise, then wise to thailand...
Bank in the UK is merely being difficult.
The question was about how to get a letter from tax office in Thailand, not about tranfering funds or whatsoever else, that's the point, any answer that not related to this point is not needed, thanks

A foreigner friend (ex-colleague) left Thailand few months ago to his country for some arrangements to transfer money from there,
he planning to transfer his funds to Thailand as praparing to come back in the near future, the bank at his country asked him to prove his icome or finance statement in the country he was living in (Thailand) for many years, as I understood that he needs a letter from the tax office, he said that he never registered or paid any taxes in Thailand, but his bank informed they need this letter as a requirement to allow him to transger funds to overseas,
Anyone done this before? how can a foreigner person help to issue this letter for him?
bytheway, he's a father of a daughter 15 years old, his wife and dauther are living in isaan area,
is it possible that she can get this letter for him from the province office or must be issued from the main office in BKK?
please advise if anyone obtained this letter before to help issue this letter for him would greate to tell how to do and what the office require to get this letter for him, thanks,

At least you are still a relatively young man. I've been here 20+ and at 67 do not see going back to the US with any hope of finding work or a place to live...
I wish you luck on your future and that you make the right decisions.
Thanks,, here is somehow a good place live for a while, but is not for a long term future plan to settle down or obtain a citizenship, I still in 40s, the horizon is clear for a foreigner to live here on a temporary situations just like a passenger at a bus stop, living by doing extensions after extensions, 90 days reports, etc

They are not blocking those with a Thai wife or family. You would have to go through about the same process that Thais do to return to here. The only big difference is that Thais can stay for free in state quarantine.
Borther, Idont have that much budget left to pay for the so-called ASQ, $100k insurance, etc..
the past 5 months almost with zero income,,, but still paying for kids school,, family daily life, etc etc,,,
Here we are just sucking our bloods to pay for Thai citizens: wife, and children, and treated as strangers anytime will facing visa troubles, etc,,
Well, thanks for the shared words guys, made me clear in mind to be prepared to load all my luggage (full bag) for no return back here again, feel so pity to guy from Holland suffered and troubled himself insisting so hard, booking for ASQ, etc..
I spent 17 years raising the kids and spending all my hard income here for Thai citizens, now left helpless without any option,, the ONLY option now is to return back home and see my new options there,
-
well,,, let's get prapared to not return back here!
Thai govt to take care their onw citizens while blocking foreigners to return back to look after theirs families here, Thai wives, and children, paying rents, etc..
will think to stay away with no further insisting, final aletrnative option! who cares.. take the burden off and leave everyone in peace,,

At the moment you can only return on an Embassy issued repatriation flight.
Do not purchase a flight directly from an Airline unless instructed to do so by the Thai Embassy (who, in this case would tell you which flight to purchase).
Under Emergency Degree commercial aircraft cannot carry passengers into Thailand, yet some airlines are still selling tickets ‘hoping’ the emergency decree will be lifted. The airlines are selling tickets for flights they know they will likely cancel - its an immoral a cash grab (refunds take months !).
I am talking about flying from here (BKK) travelling to casablanca, commercial flights are available daily visa KLM, and Air France, just need to COVID-19 free cert , I will check ths out from a public hospital,
when returning from there, I will check it out clearly with the Thai embassy there,
thanks,

I doubt they would do it without being present in the country where you would be flying from.
OP is your trip urgent enough to justify the cost for a ASQ (50 to 80k baht), covid 19 test and the fit to fly certificate and several weeks wait to get a COE. Plus you might have to fly business class to get on the repatriation flight.
the flight schedule to be from BKK - Paris - Casblanca,
I'm seeing there are many flights available via Paris, and Amesterdam,
Could you please share the idea where to get the covid-19 free certificate?
any public hospitals in BKK issue this? can be obtained in the same day? and how much does this cost?
As for the return back, would be advised to apply for 60-day re-entry (non-o) father of 3 Thai kids, Thai wife,
of the process will take longer than 60 days and better apply for a new non-o visa?
any other requirements beside the Covid-19 test? I have a family in BKK (wife + 3 children)
Thanks for the help.

hey guys,
planning to get the 60 days extension for non-o, then will apply for a re-entry,
need to spend 2 weeks outside Thailand for some urgent biz matters,
what is needed to return back? I have a family and kids in BKK, shall be required the 14 days quanratine?
will need to apply for a visa? or the re-entry is anough?

Best regards,

If you live here more than 180 days it legally makes you a tax resident, benefits or not.
Benefits depends on which country you originate from, and the DTA between Thailand and your home country...
- The DTA could give you benefits like lower withholding tax on stock dividends in your home country, i.e. 10 percent dividend tax iso. whatever tax you pay.
- Royalty income from your home country could be taxed between 5 percent (for example from music) to 15 percent in your home country.
- Non work income from your home country – could be fees of some kind – could be tax free in your home country, and either instead taxable if Thailand if transferred same year as earned, or legally tax free also in Thailand if transferred the following calendar year, or later.
- In some cases a pension income might be taxed in Thailand instead of home country, which, depending of home country income tax rate, might be less tax.
Coming from a country with World-record in high taxation anything that could be taxed after Thai-rates, would be preferred...????
simply, there is no any benefit, this was the answer of the officer,
obviously, this is the main reason why most people do not pay tax, because no any benefits to receive at the other hand, the opposite in western countries where the tax money used to support the poorer, jobless get some basic income to survive, education and medication free and guaranteed to everyone, etc,,

Thanks for sharing guys for the informative replies,
certainly, the personal direct experience on land is the final clear answer,
somewhoe, these preliminary ideas are helpful too,
What about ED visa similar to the Thai language course ED visa here?
is there something similar there? and how easy or how much to pay for this? in case to be an option to stay long and learn the environment and situation?
from Hanoi airport, how to get to the city?
How about to rent a room for a month or 2 months?
As for the easiest jobs for foreigners there maybe for teachers:
what about computer courses: programming, digital marketing, web design, IT and math courses?
this teaching is the least alternative option, more likely to look at business and manegerial role positions, till find the way to establish own business,

hey guys,
planning to move out from Thailand to vietnam soon,
the first step I asked about visa, the embassy told me that can obtain 1 month tourist visa,
would like to ask the followings:
1. how about visa extensions there?
2. how about to apply for biz visa? fees and process?
3. how about staying longer to do biz or landing a job in the biz management sector?
4. what about the options of someone skilled in IT, e-commerce, digital marketing?
5. how about cost of living there? people? visa and staying regulations, etc..
6. is it a good choice or just to look at vietnam as alternative from Thailand, or find somewhere else?
7. is there a forum of foreigner community there similar to this thaivisa?
would be highly appreciated if some answers from some guys who experienced this before or currently living there?

The last time I visited the national park at khao yai was more than 2 years ago, when I paid entrance fees 450 baht, but for Thai wife paid just 40 baht,,, it's x 11 times higher,,,
and before this, was another time when trying to enter puttabat national park coming from khao kho, petchabun province, almost 3 years ago, the guards asked to pay 500 baht,, just to drive inside the park?
Anyone of you foreigner guys faced the same situation???
Any thing changed about this? or still the same policy?? I decided to never go again to any of such places,
Additionally, to make it clear, the guards in both places shown me a printed paper half Thai and half English to prove the fee amount is a regulation by the management or something alike, and not their idea, I believe the guards at the entrance saying the true amount as they told,
Anyone here to inform the minister about this? why the fees for Thai person at 40 baht, and 450-500 baht for a foreigner? any logical reason behind this? I used to pay 80 baht some years int eh past,, suddenly jumped to more than x 10 times?

Anyone done this operation before? or any family members did such operation recently?
please share your experience about which is the best hospital / clinic?
How much the cost of this treatment?
How many days to full recovery?
Any side effects in short and long term,, any risk for the body?
Additional to the above:
I searched on Amazon and alike site where they sell tons of alternative herbal tea, capsules and similar stuff,
Any one had an experience if any of these herbal / green alternatives with some remarkable result?
will be highly appreciated to hear some of your experiences, with lot of thanks in advance!

in recent months, noticed that the posted teaching jobs salaries remarkably increased,
probably the main cause of this was the result of these crackdown on illegal stayers and working even at some remote hidden areas, this campaign of arresting may offer some better opportunities to other legally staying foreigners,

Question about visa extension (mistake stamp)
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
My non-o (family) will expire on the 29th Oct. due to some reason to travel to Phuket tomorrow for a week, went to the immigration office today to make the extension for 60 days earlier to avoid rush time, when arrived back home from the immigration I discovered they stamped the extension till 20th Dec.
I expected the extension will be counted from the expiry date, not from the date of stamping/applying for extension,
My question: anyone here had the same mistake before? and how to correct it? as for today is Friday, and tomorrow is Saturday (office closed) and I will be flying to Phuket, will return Sunday the 30th,
shall go to the immigration office again to explain this mistake and ask for correction? or any advise about this issue?
Thanks
