will consider to check about plastic surgery,

private hospitals are too much charging over here,

As heard before that korea is the best in world doing this kind of surgeries, but not sure about their costs there,,

  2. my son had and accident and got a scar above his eyebrow toward the ear,

the scar length about 4 or 5 cm. with some deep dark trace noticed in his whitish skin,

was searching  to find a good get / cream or any medicine for scar removal,

I found dozens of options available on amazon, and most of them with 30-day return guarantee,

but, to order and try one, and if not working return and order again, just waste of time,

if anyone had an experience with such case, and tried some of these gets / creams or any with good results,

any good option that can hide the trace or fit skin to the best possible?

    thanks to share your experience,

  4. does this type of required insurance is for covering accidents? or else?

Actually, i'm using accident insurance since many years ago, VIP class that can cover up to 100k THB per case, and 3 million THB in case of death,

is this what is required or else?

in case the insurance covering accidents, I'm using it regardless they require it or not,

Plz explain a bit more about the proposed insurance,

  5. Well, thanks for this sharing,,,,

so, in such case, he just go suicide or what to do???

no mercy in this world? no humanity?

no one has  little sympathy to consider this is just a temporary tight situation?

but, he could manage to get money and support his family,, regardless where to come from, he will be a respectful person as long as his wallet is  full??

this guys was driving luxurious car, living in comfortable condition just a couple of years ago, but unexpected biz venture set him on floor with zero distance.

in fact, such experience opened my eyes widely.. this could happen to anyone of us,

if we can't help friends or give hand to people when they are total broke? when possible to be or show our human kind nature?

Was nice to learn and see the ugliest side of this savage materialistic world that we live in.

  6. the last day was talking with a friend he asked me about taking some loan from a bank,

I did online search about taking loan from banks, and found that he must provide salary slips for the past 3 months,

    bank statement and other requirements,

was I told him, went in deep and long laugh, then commented, if I have a job and salary, why I need to take loan or borrow money from them?

he is unemployed currently, has 4 kids, 3 of them at school, his Thai wife just a housewife,

he is looking to borrow an amount of 50k - 100k thb. and pay it back on monthly installments

as he explained that he was trying some biz venture and spent his savings, but still need some more push up,

as he looking for some job now to help out the family situation, but there is an urgent need for cash to pay for his kids school and other daily needs,

  7. hey guys,

I heard about the recent updates and new regulations related to Thai work permits,

what I heard is that you can work any where in Thai instead of the old regulations that restrict the holder of this permit to work only in that specific place and province,

recently, one of my friends was telling me that you can apply for your own work permit,

I'm not sure how come this?unless someone has a company or running some kind of business.

if anything new please update and share your comments if any relevant experience in this regard,

    thanks

  8. Hi guys

We planning for a short visit to Russia, contacted the consulate and they told us to check their website to see the requirement,

in total there are 6 items, what we need is item 3, and 4,

    3. Tourist voucher from a licensed Russian travel agent (original or copy).

    4. Confirmation of reception from a licensed Russian travel agency (original or copy).

A friend of mine who used to visit Russia many times, he told me that usually obtain these items from a travel agency in his country.

I'm not sure about the process of this here in Bangkok,

anyone done this before? where to find a travel agency specialize in this kind of matters?

    Another question about item 5:

    5. Copy of medical insurance policy covering the period of the trip.

this medical insurance is similar to health accident insurance? have one from Bangkok Insurance (VIP) can cover up to 100k THB per case, and can claim accident in anywhere in the world as they told me, is possible to use this card? or there must be Russian insurance?

Any additional advises will be appreciated, thanks in advance!

  9. I purchased a used mobile phone iphone 6s for my kid,

since the first days told me that sometime the screen touch function freezes,

tried it myself: the assistive tool, the keyboard or any other option is responding,

the only option is to press the off button, then press the home button and start again,

i'm not sure if this is a screen problem? or software or what else to look at?

any idea about this, please advise, thanks.

Is it just the one hand?

just the thumb finger, not the whole hand,

the stiffness to bend the thumb getting harder during the morning when just wake up,

usually when put a hot pack for a while, became soft and flexible as normal,

but, overall no remarkable pain with this,

and sometimes during the day no any stiffness, bu stiffness in morning is constant,

and sometimes during the workout exercise, or driving the stiffness almost forgotten and no any attention,

but, mostly the pressure and strains came from using the hands in daily workouts, swimming, besides using computer keyboards, mouse etc..

As noticed that when put in warm or a hot pack the stiffness totally gone, is there any idea of something hot to cover the hand wrist till the thumb finger or some kind of cream or medicine that will keep it warm for a longer period, to keep it warm probably will help recovery,

actually visited hospital, they advised me to keep it rested, and if still not recovered within a month to go back to them to inject steroid or something like that,

keep it warm, and less pressure maybe will help and avoid surgery etc,

  11. Hey guys!

First of first, coming to search for health forum, notice there are fewer sub-forums, about fat, drink too much, etc,,

why can't just be general health topics to give chance to post any related health issues, hope moderators consider this,

Now, the question: what's actually the main cause of trigger thumb finger?

happened about 7 - 8 weeks ago, in the morning noticed something funny the thumb becoming as electric switch, a while later gone,, and happen again in the following day just the wake up period, and so on,, 2 - 3 weeks, then turned to be a bit painful during the bending,

however, once the thumb or the whole hand put in warm atmosphere,  often use a hot pack to warm the area, turn to be soft and smooth,

so, warming or heating is the solution to turn the trigger smooth and soft as usual,

some massage, or any other exercises are not bringing good results as the hot pack, the challenge is that the thumb and palm of the hand area not suitable to keep it longer at warm pack, due to working and using it,

just was thinking if there is any kind of special plaster or something to be like a bandage around the wrist area and pass to round up the thumb finger, but how to do to keep it warm? as long as warming it was very effective to make it smooth, so this may help to cure it if kept warm for longer periods during the day time long,

any experience with this? or some ideas to share, please share your comment,

    thanks

  12. My preferred place is HK, certainly the transferring amount will be from companies such as Amazon and similar, no any doubt about laundering or such stories, I'm not an American, my language skill could tell it:)

However, regarding HK ID card, what is the condition or the requirements to obtain it? traveling there for the process is ok,

thanks for the shared stories guys, informative indeed.

I was scheduled for a partial knee replacement, but due to traveling for some long flights I put the surgery off.  When I returned I was able to walk a little bit without pain, so I decided to not get the surgery done.  I then also started taking a supplement that has glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, Hyuralonic acid and a couple other ingredients.  3 years later, pain free and exercising on a daily basis.  I buy this off of ebay and it costs around 400 baht a month to be pain free.  Well worth it!

I recently took an overseas trip and forgot to take this supplement almost every day on the trip and within two weeks of infrequent use, the pain started returning.  Now 3 weeks after daily intake, the pain is gone again.  YMMV

Thanks for this sharing, very interesting indeed,

As I understood that you need to keep taking the medication of glucosamine, chondroitin to be pain free, is that correct?

I searched in google about these supplements and found various dosages, up to 1500 mg.

which one is suitable to recommend take?

any additional supplements besides the 2 mentioned in above, please advise,

thank you so much for the sharing. and all others shared replies too!

  14. Hi,

Sometimes I post a topic, or I participate on commenting on some posted topics,,

but, in some cases the topic goes alive for months and months, seems to be interesting to some members,

However, I would like to ask how to turn notification off from some topic,

I knew how to do this in the general settings, but my point is how to turn off some topics that being out of my interest to follow or see more bothering notifications,

    Thanks,

  15. Thank you so much guys for all these valuable shared information,

first key point is weight lose, then taking the supplement of glucosamine that contains chondroitin,

As I searched, I found several dosages, I will recommend him to check again with his Dr. about what dosage is suitable for him as per his overall health condition,

Thanks once again to your kind efforts, shared stories and information, appreciated gratefully!

A peaceful weekend to all of you!

  16. Thanks for the replies,

As I heard from him that his Dr. told him is too early to make a replacement now, he needs to wait around when he turned 60 of age, almost 20 years later from now,

I would recommend him to consult with his Dr again, then start weight loss with some cycling, walking or swimming,

Also he is a diabetic, so things should be taken precisely,

Additionally, what about talking a multi-vitamin? could help to repair the cartilage even a little bit? or any supplement that will stop further erosion?

Thanks for any shared comments, really appreciated!

Mirador Mansions is the name of the building. Its full of all sorts of small businesses, apartments and small guesthouses that located on every floor. I have never stayed in any that were filthy but its Hong Kong so space is at a premium and the rooms are small. I think one of the places calls itself the Micro Hotel. Mirador Mansions is a budget place, not flashy at all but safe and in a good location.

If you have never been to HK the airport bus will be scenic and stop either right outside Mirador or very near. However if its rush hour the journey time will be a lot longer. The MRT is faster but you need to take a connecting bus from the terminal to the nearby Tung Chung MRT station/shopping centre. You need exact coins for the bus. You can get change for the bus in the terminal. The MRT is the subway, the tube its not the Airport Express Train which is more expensive and not really any good for your destination.

I would get some Hong Kong dollars at Superich before you leave. Enough for the first days expenses. Then go to Chungking Mansions just down from Mirador. Walk in past all the money changers near entrance. Go right in the back where all the small shops are and check out the money changers there. They should have the best rates in HK.

Look at Haiphong Road Temporary Market on google maps its got fruit but Welcome Supermarket are dotted about in Tsim Sar Tsui and should be easy to find.

Appreciated with many thanks, helpful indeed.

I have stayed Mirador Mansions many times and spent the money i have saved on shopping instead. Good location right next TST MTR station, Kowloon Park is a stones throw away and a 10 min walk down to the harbour front and the Star Ferry. Chung Mansions is useful for changing money. Don't use the money changers near the street, walk right in and have a good look around, Best rates are found inside.

Thanks for the comments and shared information,

    We booked already at this:

    ==========================================

    Hong Kong Premium Guest House
Flat B2 & A5, 16/F Mirador Mansion, Kowloon Hong Kong SAR

    ==========================================

probably this is the same place [Mirrador] as you mentioned, correct?

As searched on the map, the MRT station looks like not that far,

the other day talked with their information counter, they advised to take the bus and drop off near and just walk for  1 or 2 mints, they promised to send email with bus details, station number or name, and direction to walk, but they did not send yet.

However, I would appreciate if you can share some quick info:

is it better to get there by MRT or Bus?

usually: how much the exchange rate from UD$ to HK$? or  HK$ -THB option as well, so we can have an idea, where to find the money changer around there, something similar to super rich here in BKK, any specific shop name? or location we can ask or search for?

As for the mirrador, is it clean? I read somewhere in other site some vistor said they have stinky/filthy pillows and bed sheets, not sure about this, I hope not, is there any fresh market nearby so we can get some fruits from the market directly and prepare our favorite fruit salads, even our meals are fully paid with the event package at Hyat regency,

any additional ideas or advises highly appreciated!

Thanks a lot for the comments indeed,
