1000-1500 baht in HK is a very small budget. Look for a place in Mirador Mansions you should get a tiny room slightly bigger than a double bed and tiny bathroom, aircon and probably no windows. Mirador Mansions is always better choice than Chung King Mansion as there are many lifts and stairwells.
Thanks, I booked at mirrador already, as said 9 sqm, with window, that's good enough, comparing to all around that area single rooms sizes between 5 - 7 sqm.

Not sure exactly where you need to be close to but I stayed at South Pacific Hotel once in 2016 and the place was fine, clean and the room was a "reasonable" size as many are very small. Wasnt overly expensive either. Just a quick look and it seems 2-3000 a night, maybe too much for you?

the venue: Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui.
we looking to make a booking for a place with reasonable price and close to Hyatt Recency,
done some search already, but do not much trust pictures on sites,
used to book some hotels in KL and was terrible experience, with no cancel, no refund options.
so we need to avoid facing such experiences,
anyone of you been there before and stayed in a clean place with reasonable price, average 1000 - 1500/per day,

hey guys
my co-worker told me that he paid 1000 baht as fine for passing over a bridge driving his motorbike around rama4 area, on this last Monday,
As I knew, the same case happened with me about 2 years ago I paid 400 baht as I remember,
is this is new change in the law fine? or some mistake in his case?
if anyone had the same case (recently) please share your comment to get updated about this.

He (diver) should not forget this accusation,, he should get him to justice to apologize and learn how to respect other's dignity,
this guy called musk or mask if he just kept quiet, he can still have some sort of respect in the public view, that at least he tried to help, but it seems the fake intention and dishonest action to just show off ...soon disclosed,
his accusation is not from someone doing good things to help people, how come that he intend to help and insulting who done the job risking his life in critical challenging conditions,, just because he did not get that level of honor to be praised as a hero in-spite of his billions?
Well, wrong doers and fake actors, pretenders are always get disclosed by their own actions,

thanks a lot for the help!

Hey guys,
I need to transfer a small amount around ($15) to an agency in Indonesia to send me some documents,
they need the postage fees which costs between 10-15 bucks,
contacted Kbank, they asked to submit a request letter or something alike, work permit, passport copies, and wait for at least 3 working days to get the approval back, and if the agree, I have to pay between 300 up to 600 THB for the transaction, I asked the guys there is they have Paypal, none of them even knew what paypal is?
However, I contact paypal to ask if any possibility to transfer from my paypal to bank account, they said this not possible ,
my question here: is there any other way to transfer via the internet or some other online services similar to paypal to a bank account or a person name directly? I'm not sure about Western union how much they will charge for this small amount?
Any idea, recommendation or shared experience in this regard will be highly appreciated,
thanks

hey guys
recently we cleaned the air-condition by the technician guy in the building,
then started working that day as usual with better cooling, until around midnight then started dropping down
the ventilator far is working, but the compressor stars on for about half minute then turned off for a couple of minutes and so on,
we changed the electric started as happened couple of years ago,
but the noisy sounds on and off remained the same with the new starter with no results,
we contacted a specialist of repair air-condition with explanation of the issue, he told us that in this case maybe the machine itself needs to be changed,
about the machine price he told will cost around 4000, without his installation fee,
To take the example of changing the started couple of years ago, we paid 1500,
which I bought it by myself from old Siam shop in the last day just paid 160 baht, this is by far 10 times,
However, need to check it out before start this repair, anyone had similar issue or have an idea about repairing air-condition?
attached file clip, with the actual image of the machine and the noisy sounds of the compressor,
Any shared comments, recommendation or ideas to fix this will be highly appreciated,
thanks in advance!

From some of your other posts I assume you are in Bangkok(?) where they usually handle stuff professionally to the written rules not some selfmade rules like in Pattaya.
So no concern here.
Yes, in BKK,
Anyway, thanks for the comments and sharing ideas,

Reports coming out of Land Transport Office Pattaya that you can no longer renew after your birthday and get six years and have to resit the tests ( unconfirmed)
the question was about the required documents,,, not about test or any else..

Hey guys,
As often shared news about the recent laws and keep updating regulations,
what about the required documents to renew a Thai driving license?
As I knew in the past years:
1) medical certificate (check your eyes vision)
2) residency certificate: from immigration / or issued from embassy
hand out these along with your expired license and take the exam, that's all needed,
still the same? or any thing else changed?
please advise if any foreigner recently (2018) renewed his/her Thai driving license to confirm the requirements accordingly,
Thanks for sharing your experience.

My paypal account was opened about 11 years ago, personal account, I created the account here in Thailand, and linked it with my local bank, ATM debit card details - not a credit card,
this account was inactive for number of years,
then started to use my account in the recent years, mainly to buy products online,
in the last year was requested by a digital vendor to receive payments online, must upgrade to be business account, (business personal) not business for a company,
since then, I still using my account as usual,
Any purchase transaction they deduct automatically from my bank account, any refunded products also happen the same way, I am using my account quite often for any online purchase,
I told all the above historic details, to make it clear that my account was created around 2006 or 2007, I am not sure about the current conditions and requirements,
I don't have any residency, just normal working visa, extend yearly, 90 days reports etc,
hope this helps.

Just get 8gb of ram or more and a good laptop - then install vertualbox on windows 10 and then install linux mint in virtualbox and then you can run both at the same time. You can start linux anytime you want it or script it to start after windows is completed booting. You can do this yourself easy enough - all you need for linux is the iso file you don't even have to burn it to a cd and virtualbox will mount it - it will never bother your windows install it runs as a file and only sees its own vitual drive unless you take steps to force it to see the other - you can even set up copy paste sharing between the two OS's as well as file shares etc. and in bridge mode (recommended) your local network just sees it as another PC complete with own IP address. Its all free for personnel use - all of it.
It looks so interesting to run both at the same time as operating 2 separate machines!
I still not clear enough about this practically, however, will try and see how it goes, thanks brother!

Hey guys
Looking to buy a new laptop that can dual operating systems: windows and Linux,
The device (laptop) will be used as a regular work station,
for graphic designs, video editing, FTP uploads and all other related functions,
the whole job will be done mainly with Windows 7 or 10, then Linux will be used for learning, and practicing (newbie stage)
some friend advise me to look at: HP 15-bc207TX , this available at panthip plaza actually,
Any recommendations / comments about this tech guys?
have anyone used / using one machine installed with Linux and windows?
how stable and efficient the machine's performance with dual or multiple operating systems installed?
Kindly advise accordingly, any precise recommendations will be highly appreciated and considered,
Many thanks in advance! -

Other point is that once you've received the blue book, sign where your name is in the book, otherwise department of land transport will accept any matching signature and can transfer the ownership to anyone with power of attorney's letter. Signing the blue book makes it an extra step harder for anyone to forge your details. Sometime 2nd hand dealer will prefer 'unsigned' blue book as it makes it easier for them to transfer the car around.
As mentioned in above, I owned and sold several times: cars and motobikes, but never signed near my name,
In the case you case you said 2nd deal can transfer it easily without signature,
how about the passport / identity of the owner?
I agree there are some flexible corners everywhere in everything to use it in the wrong way, but not really sure about how they can do this by just doing fake signature,
if anyone experienced this before, plz share your comments, so that we can be better protected
-
YES, once your name printed on the blue book, the car is your own, this is the answer,
to make this as confirmed to you, I owned and sold 3 cars in bangkok, always my name on the blue book, and YES again!
hope this helped and makes it clear to your concerned point.

in Health and Medicine
Posted
Hey guys,
my elder nephew in his 4th decade of age, with a bit over weight from the average, around 10 kg extra.
He was feeling pain in his knees for many years ago, and often go to therapy treatments,
in his recent visit to his doctor, told him that the his knee cartilage almost damaged by 50%,
As the could weather where he lives, during the winter worsen the pain,
I advised him to do some sports to lose weight, but this maybe not fit suitably with his condition,
Anyone of you guys with this matter? is there any kind treatment, to take some supplement tablets, vitamin or minerals that can help to recover even a little bit or just to avoid more damaging? his age now is around 42 or 43, what about cycling sports to reduce the extra weight?
if any similar experience with some relevant advises, or recommendation to a specific supplement tablets will be highly appreciated,
thanks.
