If you love visiting Thailand you tend to ignore the negative stuff that you encounter and forgive the ever decreasing sense of being welcome and feeling safe from exploitation but in recent visits I am gradually leaning towards finding new counties to visit and dropping Thailand from my list.... sadly. The whole package of Thailand's welcome, costs, service, and amenities is deteriorating and now feels like a rip off .. even the ladies are getting fatter !

I was hauled to a back office in Swampy and questioned by 3 immigration officers because of multiple visa exempt entries. They asked if I had a Thai wife. I said no a Thai wife would take all my money….they just laughed and said go on … you’re ok .

I sometimes waste time just watching the intersection of Soi Buakhao and Diana and Lengkee for the chaos and near misses and sheer lack of safety that goes on all day. In fact crossing the Soi is dangerous in lots of places.

I thought for a minute that you were a foreign prostitute depositing your short times earnings and getting hundred of clients !

Yes….i check every time to make sure that it’s still alive and well ….

Do they do this to extract fine..aka , a bribe , tea money, whatever ? Do they realise that the tourist numbers would be decimated if there was “really” no prostitution in Thailand.

I accept the comment that it’s too much hassle and time. Made me think maybe I will just buy a flight from the Bangkok Airways monopoly.
