Unless you can afford to lose 40 million you would be crazy to even consider it. The original elite visa came with land owning rights only to be withdrawn at short notice. Some lost a lot of money knowing they had to sell quickly.

My street dogs get better food. Poor kids. .. The problem with corruption in countries such as Thailand is the really connected wouldn't even see a court room. If you are going to be corrupt as least have some connections. Like the army loan the recent army loan scandal.

I flew on Thai back in May to the UK. The service and food quality was terrible and you could see they had cut corners on service. Even those wonderful Thai smiles covered by masks. They have gained market share because airlines such as British airways haven't resumed services yet. In addition to the historic corruption and xenophobia in not recruiting a best in class foreigner to turn this airline around just as Emirates and many airlines around the world have done they will never be able to compete on the world stage. Their demise in inevitable.

"Outside Bangkok there is far less masking up." Here in rural Nakhon Sawan 99 percent are still masked up. The ones alone on a bike or in a car always give me a chuckle.

Then make tourists visas easy to apply for like they used to be. I remember getting a 6 months tourist visa at the Liverpool consulate. Simple form 75 pounds and in and out in 10 minutes. Went back 6 months later and got another.

Reading about this maniac the problem isn't gun ownership or the amount it's the fact this guy got away with it for too long and the Police did nothing. Eventually sacking him when he should have been in jail. Lets not forget he used mainly knives not guns. It was a gun he eventually killed himself with. Shame he didn't do it sooner

Took him two days of drinking to cause a public nuisance? Light weight. Takes my fellow countrymen the British only a few hours.
