Phuket Immigration announces results of their recent overstay crackdown
Bim Smith replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Just six? They didn't look hard enough. More lightly whipped than crackdown. And why would someone on just an 8 day overstay be lying low in a room to hide from immigration. I smell something and it ain't good.- 72 replies

The stats shown in this peace are designed to get people to roll of their sleeve. My entire family came down with COVID this last month's all vaccinated 4 times. Brother in law in hospital with a blood clot to the brain. My wife and I are not vaccinated and visit them maskless and have not had as much as a sniffle in years. Something is not right about any of this.

The problem is in a country where corruption is so normalised in society that these raids will amount to nothing when the trial leads to some very high up officials. It's all in the language. The Chinese are gangsters but the Thais are officials. Wouldn't the truth be both are gangsters and that the Thais just happen to be officials also.

Public Health Ministry Opposes 4 A.M.Closing Time For Night Venues
Bim Smith replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Smart virus that Covid. It can tell the time. -
A few years ago the government set up a program called "set zero" and was primarily aimed at dogs. When local government officials were caught poisoning the dogs instead of vaccinating them their was a public outcry and it was stopped. This came about by one man dying of the disease that he got from a cat. Then we had the government minister caught selling fake rabies vaccines. I am all for a vaccination program and a spay and neuter program but if this is another one disguised as killing dogs I will do everything to expose it. We have dedicated our lives here to help the dogs and cats with over 3 hundred helped and building our own shelter using our own money. In a Buddhist country I expect nothing less than a compassionate solution to this. The problem here was created entirely by humans taking no responsibility for the dogs and cats in their care.

They would have weathered it better if they hadn't closed the country for two years over a flu. So would the world economy. No cared a jot about jobs and people's ability to feed themselves this past years only the mass hysteria over a disease that was no more deadly than the flu. Strange how virtually no one got flu this past two years also.

Iran said to promise Thailand to not target Israelis visiting country
Bim Smith replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I would be careful who they are letting in the country in the first place. Just revoke all visas from Iran. Job done.
