£0.6bn a year to uprate UK pensions for Thai retirees
Bim Smith replied to webfact's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
I am not sure if you're aware but the country is bankrupt and there is no pension pot but pension commitments. The pot is empty and spent a long time ago. It's a pomzi scheme and the current pensions are paid by current NI contributions. If there was a pot like private pensions they are invested and increases are paid by the investments. It's a scam. -
£0.6bn a year to uprate UK pensions for Thai retirees

Covid overreaction, blank cheque. Immigrants being put up in hotels, blank cheque. Funding a war that's nothing to do with us, blank cheque. Pensioners asking for what is due for something they have paid in all their life? Sorry we can't afford that. The UK doesn't need a new government it needs a complete system overhaul that actually serves the people it's supposed too. -
International arrivals in Thailand increase after restriction easing
Bim Smith replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I left on Friday and departures was chaos. Not because the of the volume of people but only 4 desks open. Immigration and security was a joke and the duty free was a building site with few shops open and burger king the only food outlet open. The baggage system failed leaving us sitting on the aircraft for three hours before we took off three hours late at 3am. The airport is far from ready to accept mass tourism again any time soon. Normal average daily arrivals 200 thousand a day and they are celebrating 11 thousand arrivals? This government have dug a hole so big I doubt they can find anyway out soon. They have wrecked the country.... What a joke. -
Let's see those unredacted contracts the government signed with big pharma. Only way to end this.

Thai unemployment at its worst point in 14 years
Bim Smith replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
These figures are clearly hogwash. How would they even measure it without any welfare state to claim for unemployment. You take over 20 percent of your GDP out of the equation you bet you can take this figure and times it by 10. -
