The couple from Ulricehamn stole 250 T-shirts.

On Tuesday www.ut.se could report that a young couple form Ulricehamn was sentenced to 15 months in jail in Thailand. New information shows that their crime was not only about 2 stolen T/shirts, which first were reported.

Information for the Swedish foreign ministry shows that the couple admitted to have stolen 250 T-shirts during a burglary. They are also involved in an assault on English tourist. The last information hasn’t been confirmed yet.

It was the 2 December last year that the young couple, 24 and 21 years old, were arrested since they stolen the clothes from a shop in Patong Beach, Thailand

Since the arrest the woman has been sharing cell in Phuket with 150 criminal women. The man had a similar situation.

-They have a rough time said Lars Göran Dikander, Swedish photographer who have been in contact with the couple.

Both of them were today sentenced to 15 months in jail. They got a short sentence since they had written a confession. They would have gotten a sentence double that time if they hadn’t written a confession.

- It have been awful, we don’t know what to do, says the mom of the 24-year old man.

- We have been in contact with the foreign ministry but it seems that they can’t do anything in this case.

The couple didn’t receive any legal assistance at the trial. The accusations were read then the came verdict. The couple did´t have any legal assistance since they confessed the crime. They were sentenced for stealing two T-shirts, the accusation of stealing a bag showed to be false.

The couple has also renounced their right to have their case tried in a higher court.

-To have the case tried in a higher court may take up to a year and may result in a longer sentence, explains Lars-Göran Dikander.

The 21-year old woman claimed that she didn’t know that her boyfriend stole the shirts and claims to be innocent.

- It was the worst moment in my life when the handcuffs were locked, said the woman.

-The situation here at home is chaotic, says the mother of the 24-year old man. We feel completely helpless. We have been in touch with the (Swedish) foreign ministry several times this week and we just heard the verdict. It feels totally unreal, says the mother.

-All we can do is to wait and let situation get clearer. Then we will fly to Thailand as soon as possible so we can have direct contact with our son. So far the only contact we had is by mail. We haven’t any contact by phone.

The couple traveled to Thailand in the middle of November and had planed to stay there until the beginning of January.

The only thing the family can do to help out is to supply them with extra food, toothbrush, shaving tools, menstruation articles, mosquito repellent and other hygien articles.

Sleeping mattres (small foldable) is needed as they sleep directly on the floor, supply new on regular basis (stolen, bedbugs)

Jail mates will use their stuff as much as they like, does not matter how strong or fast you are, they are so many more.

Do not hunger strike, the jail management does not care.

Two Burmese fishermen from a sunken Thai fishing boat, are saved by the Australien Coast Guard.

They drifted for 25 days in a large ice container after the Thai fishing boat they worked on sunk.

It is believed that 11 others are still missing in the shark rich water.

They survived by drinking rain water and eating fish.

Have complained about this for years to the management, and so far no response to my complaints.

They absolutely do not care about our kids watching movies at their theatres, it is all about the money we as parents pay up.

I met some American nurses a while ago in Patong, they where there to get married to some american guys doing lifetime in a Thai jail for smuggling drugs.

They had the same insight to life as one of our TV members here at this tread.

I witnessed numerous acts od road rage on Phuket roads, but mostly by foreigners. Few times some idiots would try to bully me until I get out of the car. Fanny how they speed away.... There was this American guy once shouting obscenities (in Central car park) and I told him to stop or I will humiliate him before his own wife and kids who were in the car. He shut his trap and drove away. Not my style but sometimes you just have to respond in this manner....

I can confirm that the Thai owner of the Farang restaurant by the Index Living Mall, was shot and killed last night, Friday.

He was sitting outside his restaurant, at the right side table area when he was approched by an unknow Thai on a motorcycle, and shot.

Thai staff are now cleaning up the scene. The status of the second person is unknown, as to the cleaners knowledge.

If so, may he rest in peace and may the culprits be grabbed to police custody.

Not another source mentioning that Heroin is bad for you ! The great conspiracy raises it's head again ! Poor ourman(woman)inbangers(pattaya) must be shaking his/her head in disbelief at another example of how the vast majority of the world seems to think Heroin is bad for you. The sad part of this story is it's only the tip of the proverbial iceberg. 7 kilos ? Probably the left-overs from a much larger shipment that they couldn't squeeze in. Hopefully, facing the death sentence (a definite likelyhood for Thai dealers), they'll offer up some bigger fish in exchange for commuted sentences. At least they'll be comforted in knowing that some people out there support their efforts to get rich by exploiting people and (in some cases) giving them their own prolonged death sentences.

I think they are okay to listen to, not easy to find superb DJ's within a small english speaking community like Phuket.

DJ Doris has managed his show well.

There are currently 3 active fields in Phuket of my knowledge.

Chern-talay, Chaofa west and a private field at the Thepkasatri road near phuket town.

Planes, heli, boats and cars at these so called clubs.

Just head out to these fields and you will see some hobby guys there for a chat, they all like to share there hobby. Saturdays and Sundays most likely.

I fly airplanes, electrical and nitro. Have also brought up some new RC pilots into the sky with dual control, master-pupil.

Here are some simple ideas about this case:

- They stole several items, but only few items could be directly related.

- Got caught red-handed and took an aggressive stand-off.

- Police arrived and the thieves resisted arrest.

- Bail was denied, as the couple resisted arrest even at the police station.

- Foul language was used consistently by the thieves.

- They refused to contact the Swedish embassy and relatives prior to court ruling.

- They thought they could handle this by themselves.

- Foul language was used at the court.

- Hash punishment was ruled by the court.

All these parts, should give this kind of court ruling anywhere in the western world.

I met several cases here in Thailand where the money provider dies and the partner is left is total fund less, left without any funds also after legal children from previous marriages loot the bank funds. Because the money provider did not register the Thai marriage properly, did not marry the partner or wrote a will.
