He trusted her, she took advantage, a lesson for all, why marry?, why not live in a defacto relationship, and keep whats yours in your back pocket, that piece of paper you sign when getting married waives all rights to what you think you own.

It's very simple. Just don't pay for her or her family at any time. If she has no job/money then just pay for the very basics; food, water, transport. If she sticks around for a while then you know it's for you as a person and maybe then you can start buying her gifts etc.
This is an easy litmus test which always gives accurate results, and it doesn't take long. Yet I see so many guys spending years with their partners without ever really knowing if the girl is there for the money, until it's too late.
It's never that simple, and can never be 100% accurate, there are some cunning women out there from all walks of life.

It's a sick law. The proven most harmful drug of all, alcohol is sold freely and aggressively while recreational drugs which have never been proven undoubtedly to be as harmful as alcohol can make users be charged simply for taking them.
I obviously accept that recreational drugs impair a person significantly, but what business is that of the authorities unless the person is driving or operating complex machinery.
These piss tests are purely a money maker for corrupt cops. Nothing more
You probably regret stating the above, if not you should.

Why do so many retirees wish to spend their golden years in Thailand?, Is it the weather?, the people?, prices?, ladies?, or just want to escape their own country?,
I am a retiree, visited thai 3 times now, each time I leave I have no intentions to return, however after some time passes the urge to return becomes overwhelming,
why is that?, opinions from retirees would be most appreciated.

People don't mind paying extra for quality food, however airport food is at the lower rung, and just above airline food, they might be in cahoot's together.

Times have changed. I used to rent a beachfront apartment in Surfers for $275 a week...I left in 2003. That used to feel like high rent LOL.
The body corp fee for the Pattaya condo where I live is 140,000 per year including insurance, so that's nearly what you pay on the Gold Coast. It will all depend on where you choose to live and how big the place is. How big is your Gold Coast apartment?
68m2, rents in this building haven't gone up much since 2003', around $350.00 per week, 140,000 = $5,542.95 aud at todays exchange rate, the guy's above have indicated 15,000, why the large discrepency?.

Ours is 15K per year, gives us exclusive access to the Gym which is professionally maintained, key card access only and the six swimming pools which are cleaned daily. but as a renter, your landlord/owner should be paying this. Water is about 200baht a month and Electricity is 400-1200 expensing on aircon usage, enter pays that.
Well that blows my unit on the gold coast/Australia out of the water, body corp $135.00 aud per week, water $375 every four months and Rates $1600.00 per year, think I might move.

Restaurants should Incorporate detectors of pesticide levels in their food, claim that their food is 100% pesticide free, here is a detector..... test for yourself, this would ensure more customers walk through the door, but don't tell em that the detector is actually a dog whistle.

Difficult to believe those numbers, I drove all over thailand from hua hin to pattaya to chiang mai to chiang rai etc, the only accident i saw was a car in the ditch at chiang rai, due to a heavy downpour, and not much else, those numbers are extraordinary, most certainly agree that the law has to change to curb those numbers.
