When you look at the amount of true crime shows spilling out of that country it is little wonder that she survived at all.

I asked the same question as I thought a Booster is one, they insisted that I need 2.

Walked into Bang Sue station today for a Booster, no appointment, I had 2 AstraZeneca back in Oz right on 6 months ago, I wanted moderna, the first counter I was directed to said moderna is not available but Pfizer is, at my insistence they sent me to another section, once again I got the message that Pfizer was my only choice, after further explanation and insistence I was directed to a third section and there I got my first dose of moderna, they scheduled an appointment mid January for my second shot, just a little advise for anyone that has not been there before, go with someone who speaks Thai, there are q's everywhere and quite chaotic, I would have been totally lost without .

Although not bkk but patts, kasikorn refused with a tr, Scb wanted a work permit, Bangkok bank was the easiest, either buy their Insurance or get a residency certificate I went with the latter, need tm30 and fill out tm7 , 300 baht at jomtien imm, then at bank 400 baht for card, and minimum deposit of 500 bath, should be similar in bkk.

Foreigners in Thailand warned about not wearing face masks
Polaky replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Agree, Farangs are the worst culprits, others wear masks in the heat to protect others as well as themselves, some women have developed skin rashes and acne but still wear them to protect others, but farangs on motorbikes wearing singlets showing off their tattoos and no mask or helmet, or walking on beach Rd with it under their chin, no respect for anyone. -
Walked in to the one near walking street a couple of weeks ago, they were not interested in anything except a work permit, no work permit no account.

Cost of 24 hr test and wait process
Polaky replied to notrub's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
When leaving Thailand would that also be an option?, ie: would they issue a valid certificate accepted by airlines?, It would be convenient to stay near the airport and have the test done. -
It is very obvious that the survey never looked at the ease of obtaining visa and maintaining them, my biggest peeve is when i have to walk into an imm office and front those uneducated ning nongs, thailand has a population bordering on 80 mil, and they cannot find one educated fluent english speaking intellect that could greet you with "and how can i help you today sir", instead we get a blank stare, more of a glare really, and then a wave of the arms, how wonderful, the only time i see a glimmer of a smile is when your handing over dollars.

Back in Oz I have a Gaggia classic pro, made in Italy, magic machine, parts available everywhere and heaps of doc's on YouTube, small footprint but don't let that fool you, the included tamper is useless so you need to purchase a separate one, makes a superb Latte.

Mandatory quarantine required again?
Polaky replied to Neekerikuningas's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
South African doctor who raised Omicron alarm says symptoms are ‘unusual but mild’ He should have kept it under his hat, instead we have power hungry leaders with another excuse to shut the planet down, meanwhile he gets a pat on the back, there is probably more variants out there that have not been detected. -
Opening A New Bank Account In Thailand 2021
Polaky replied to jackdd's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I cannot understand why they make it difficult to open a debit account, we are actually doing them a favour by enriching their lending powers, until recently I was always on a Non OA so never had the need for an account, now on a TV I approached Bangkok bank, to open an account would cost me around 6000 bath, 500 for card, 500 for account, the rest for a throwaway insurance, no residency certificate or letter from consulate with aide you, if your already on a non o then it is a piece of cake, but not tourist or exempt, they might be getting more strict, tried a number of different banks to no avail. -
TM30 online - Never saves Data
Polaky replied to STD Warehouse's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Still will not save as of Nov 21', regardless if your using Chrome, edge or firefox, so I think this system is kaput, not sure about app, not game to put it on. -
Please do tell your agency, 21k without having 800k stuck in a thai bank sounds very reasonable.

What we should be concentrating on is an affordable all age group Insurance policy regardless of where you originated from, that meets all requirements, and actually covers you for any event, then that insurance company would be rewarded with a flock of new policy enquiries, and enhance their business model, but does such insurance exist?, many scale their policies on age groups, which in my opinion is wrong, as many older people are fitter than the younger generation, and should not be penalised.

I have nothing but praise for the new system, arrived bkk 2nd nov from melb au, prior to arrival received t/pass qr code via email to expediate entry, everything was well organized at the airport, driver from hotel was waiting, at hotel taken to my room to wait for nurse, she arrived later in the afternoon, tested everyone who flew in on multiple airlines, following morning i was told i tested negative and was free to go. ps: no tracking app or ankle bracelets were enforced.

Polaky replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Your not wrong, just too expensive to holiday in au, especially when you don't get a handout from the gov.
