I think the Thai's could help by making it super clear what the rules are. I have a booking in February for Phuket made optimistically in November. Though it was a cheapie they are letting me change it to a later date which is nice. Thanks Jetstar.

I would not be in a hurry to thank them for anything, they will most probably cancel your next flight.

Begs the question why the mandatory PCR test less than 72 hours prior to departure is not picking this up.. That's a very small window in which to be infected after testing.

Because the tests are sub standard coming from impoverished countries, are they really certified to carry them out?, Many are making a nice living out of fleecing travellers, they should come up with a foolproof way to test at the airport, pcr is obviously flawed, if they can invent a vaccine why can't they invent a secure method of testing, a bit like putting special spectacles on and viewing people, when a haze of blue is seen then they are infected, don't laugh it's coming .

Probably because, you indicated here you had your original two shots outside of Thailand.

And the records they use here inside Thailand only reflect the injections done here. So as far as the Thai MoPH records system linked to your passport number was concerned, you were getting your first shot.

Your probably right and i should not return for another, going by the following table....

  5. Walked into Bang Sue station today for a Booster, no appointment, I had 2 AstraZeneca back in Oz right on 6 months ago, I wanted moderna, the first counter I was directed to said moderna is not available but Pfizer is, at my insistence they sent me to another section, once again I got the message that Pfizer was my only choice, after further explanation and insistence I was directed to a third section and there I got my first dose of moderna, they scheduled an appointment mid January for my second shot, just a little advise for anyone that has not been there before, go with someone who speaks Thai, there are q's everywhere and quite chaotic, I would have been totally lost without .

Please outline your recent experience in opening a bank account in Bangkok with a tourist visa or visa exempt stamp.

    Not saying it's impossible.

Just clear indication of what was required.

Although not bkk but patts, kasikorn refused with a tr, Scb wanted a work permit, Bangkok bank was the easiest, either buy their Insurance or get a residency certificate I went with the latter, need tm30 and fill out tm7 , 300 baht at jomtien imm, then at bank 400 baht for card, and minimum deposit of 500 bath, should be similar in bkk.

  7. It is very obvious that the survey never looked at the ease of obtaining visa and maintaining them, my biggest peeve is when i have to walk into an imm office and front those uneducated ning nongs, thailand has a population bordering on 80 mil, and they cannot find one educated fluent english speaking intellect that could greet you with "and how can i help you today sir", instead we get a blank stare, more of a glare really, and then a wave of the arms, how wonderful, the only time i see a glimmer of a smile is when your handing over dollars.

Born in France, but grew up in Mexico and then Spain, Sevilla and Madrid (Dad was an expat). Madrid and Malaga deserve their place (or pretty much any city in Spain actually). 24h fun if you want it, sun, great food, great people for the most part, unbelievable historical & cultural places.

Malaga is great, madrid, barcelona also nice but i think portugal wins.

They are ok but dont look at their feet

plenty of fake goods to buy

the women don't have a chance against russian/ukraine, and ask yourself is it a real woman.

  10. Back in Oz I have a Gaggia classic pro, made in Italy, magic machine, parts available everywhere and heaps of doc's on YouTube, small footprint but don't let that fool you, the included tamper is useless so you need to purchase a separate one, makes a superb Latte.

  11. I cannot understand why they make it difficult to open a debit account, we are actually doing them a favour by enriching their lending powers, until recently I was always on a Non OA so never had the need for an account, now on a TV I approached Bangkok bank, to open an account would cost me around 6000 bath, 500 for card, 500 for account, the rest for a throwaway insurance, no residency certificate or letter from consulate with aide you, if your already on a non o then it is a piece of cake, but not tourist or exempt, they might be getting more strict, tried a number of different banks to no avail.
