I am considering traveling home to Sweden for a few months in early 2022. Have Extension of Stay until 30 Oct 2022 and will not request Re-Entry Permit but request a new Non-O Visa at the Thai Embassy. My question is whether in that case 90 days insurance for Thailand Pass is enough.

Have found a Thai insurance company that has a reasonable cost up to 99 years of age.

    https://www.tipinsure.com/CovidRegional/step_1

The question is whether this insurance is sufficient for Thailand Pass.

Yes, I used them, they are also understanding if your dates change, and are easy to contact.

Judging from the content in the six pages of content here, This article seems to have done nothing to settle the confusion.  I Always thought that with my O visa and marriage extension I could go out on a trip somewhere and come back without buying the insurance.  Now it does not look that way.  And at my age, a lot of insurers like Aetna just say no.

What we should be concentrating on is an affordable all age group Insurance policy regardless of where you originated from, that meets all requirements, and actually covers you for any event, then that insurance company would be rewarded with a flock of new policy enquiries, and enhance their business model, but does such insurance exist?, many scale their policies on age groups, which in my opinion is wrong, as many older people are fitter than the younger generation, and should not be penalised.

  3. I have nothing but praise for the new system, arrived bkk 2nd nov from melb au, prior to arrival received t/pass qr code via email to expediate entry, everything was well organized at the airport, driver from hotel was waiting, at hotel taken to my room to wait for nurse, she arrived later in the afternoon, tested everyone who flew in on multiple airlines, following morning i was told i tested negative and was free to go.

ps: no tracking app or ankle bracelets were enforced.

When family and friends ask why I would retire in Thailand when I live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Australia, I always answer "because it's cheap and every night can be like New Years Eve if you want it to be"

Sadly, the November 1 plan is not that so I would not reccomend it to anyone ????

Your not wrong, just too expensive to holiday in au, especially when you don't get a handout from the gov.

ok i arrive nov 4.  do i have enuf time to get the thailand pass.  has any one studyed the thailand pass.  maybe its just a computer program and if you fill in the fields correctly it pops out  green  light . and i get the pass?   makes no sense if one is arriving on nov 2, 3 , 4,  5,  6 , ,7.............that they have not the time to get the thailand pass so their will be no arrivals on nov 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7?

i'm in perth australia waiting for clarity from TIT and oz.  australia is ineligible to access online evisa's and i'm loathe to post my passport to canberra embassy for TR60 visa so it looks like visa exempt for me, but only when oz borderforce allows me international travel AND when i don't have to do 14 days hotel quarantine on my return to perth - what a debacle!

You are encased in bubble wrap over there, I cannot see you going anywhere just yet, you can apply for TR visa with sydney embassy online, but after approval you still need to post your passport for the stamp, give that 2 weeks with xpress post, the delay is not their fault it is ozpost.

This is the official list of countries from which visitors can come to Thailand with no quarantine if they are fully vaccinated from 1 November. Still quite a bit of paperwork and a a negative COVID test needed on arrival.

No idea, I tried the black P3 and it worked ......... there is also P1, P2 and M1 to try.

What the hell is black cocoa?, there is cocoa which is refined and there is cacao which is the bees knees, as many have already said sugar is the biggest enemy, eradicate it from your diet, keep away from beer = carbs and sugar = pot belly, if you drink then vodka on ice preferably or whiskey, no junk food, no bread, regular exercise, does not have to be strenuous, so long as it is regular, work up to doing 100 pushups a day, not in one hit but as many as you can do at a time, try keto which is great, no low fat milk, get the full cream high fat milk, stay away from oils except olive and instead have butter, if you want proof of that lookup butter bob on yt, make your own ghee and cook solely with that, plenty of eggs/bacon, at night a teaspoon of physilium husk with plenty of water, and if all that doesn't work think about a separation lol!.

When I applied for a Tourist visa in May this year I applied and received my visa from the Sydney consulate and I reside in Perth.

I posted my passport to the consulate and it was returned within 10 days

Sydney only had one or two cases in may big difference now, even in the pre covid times ozpost was hopeless, you could get lucky though.

Oh, if I still have to post my passport I might as well do everything by post in one go. Thanks

It appears as though the online application is only for pre-approval, you still have to do everything manually, so canberra would be better as no pre approval required, that is if you have the time as post is very slow, I have been waiting for a small parcel for over a month!.

The Royal Thai Consulate-General, Sydney wishes to advise that your visa is pre-approved.

    Due to Covid -19 and restrictions as part of the NSW Government Public Health Order;

We will accept mail application only until further notice. Please keep up to date on changes to NSW Government restrictions as they are made, which may affect changes to procedures as outline below.

Please post the following items to the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Sydney (Level 8, 131 Macquarie Street Sydney 2000)

    • Your original passport and copy
    • A completed visa application form with photo attached
    • A self-addressed return envelope and visa fee $60 (Money Order addressed to Royal Thai Consulate-General, Sydney).

Found a problem with flights on Singapore Airlines. I can't book a return ticket. I was going to book a return at 90 days just to line up with the TV and then change it as it's valid for a year with date changes free.

I've traveled to Thailand many times before with just a one way ticket and never had a problem, however these are different times obviously. I'm hoping just a confirmed one way ticket there and a proposed itinerary back will be enough.

Edit: haha, just tried Business class and no problem getting a ticket. Only 108,955 baht one way to Brisbane lol

You could book Jetstar on the 3rd of may to melbourne, cheap as chips, that would give you proof of a return ticked to forward for exemption. no doubt they will cancel that flight so you will get your dollars back, should also be enough to satisfy thai imm if you state you will be applying for an non o.

  12. Sandbox is a great idea if your a teetotaller, enjoy deserted beaches, go to bed at 6.00pm, avoid all excursions and taxi's, your holiday will be filled with fun queing up at testing stations,  enjoy a holiday where you can meditate to your hearts content, and as a bonus get a suntan on your dial depicting batman, however if your a party animal then pick another country.

  13. Still unclear how the guy from uae tested positive, how is it possible?, unless the test he had before leaving was fake, which would also raise the question is his vaccination legit?, surely if you board a flight and the stewardess has it and passes it onto you, it would be too early to detect as positive, it needs time to ingrest itself into your system, something is not quite right with this case, the boys from tat should investigate more thoroughly.
