You mean ladyboys, Pattaya Beach is full of them I am told.
"Full of them"? Maybe one "ladyboy" in each 1,000 residents. What's the ratio in San Francisco?

Yes, China played it down for political reasons. After the danger was known, Trump played it down for political reasons. Pot calling the kettle black.

If Cabello does in Maduro and then turns himself over to U.S. authorities, does he get $25 million and reduced time?

They likely will make no money at home, adding to burden there. I'm sure there are many kind-hearted farang who would be happy to provide shelter and rice for one or more of these girls.

Let's say this works. Back to fun and games. Open borders. In come a few people from around the globe with C-V. Here we go again. It all depends on finding a vaccine and distributing a few billion doses.

6:30 a.m. Pattaya. Foreign bank visa. ATM had normal screen. Put card in and up popped "Temporarily out of order" and ate my card. All day on phone with Thai only, music, transfers, call backs. Got my card back near closing time at distant branch. Card worked fine at branch ATM.

I guess the existential question here is: do we destroy a generation of economic promise for the young to save a generation of the old?
Im glad thats not my call.
What economic promise? They are drowning in student debt, unable to afford a home, child care, or health care.

There was another thread about people in Pattaya that thought they may have had the virus in November/Dec/January this year, but everyone poo-pooed it and thought it was BS. I for one had a pretty bad respiratory infection in early January that I attributed to the pollution. Knocked me out for about a week. Symptoms pretty similar to covid- dry cough, difficulty breathing when exercising.
I would like to get an antibody test to see if I have previously been infected, but I don't trust anyone in Thailand to differentiate between an active infection and a previous infection during the current hysteria.
I had six-week dry cough over late Dec.-early Feb. That was in Utah. Siht happens.

Cambodia has suspended its visa on arrival, and many nationalities are banned, so flying in/out not likely to work as a border run.

Somebody should check who made a killng shorting the market, then we'll know if gutting funding for pandemic monitoring and the pulling of the pandemic expert from China just before an outbreak was a coincidence or something more nefarious by the administration during a losing trade war. Trump does have what he wants: wartime powers and getting the public used to National Guard troops on the streets before he calls out the regular army pre-election. Far fetched? Sure, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Older voters prefer Trump. There won't be so many of them come November.

I could understand the insurance requirements if you could get such insurance. The Thai government should offer such coverage to all, accessible via website or on arrival, with prices readily available online.

Sounds like you are safer in a clorinated pool than on a baht bus with all its unclorinated poles and buttons to push, and if you got as close to a stranger in the pool as you get on the baht bus you would probably get punched.

It's basic human instinct to want to shelter with others during times of crisis, especially 'strangers in a strange land'. It's not the best idea now but it's not like they were plotting to bring down civilization. I am not one to huddle with others. I prefer a man cave with the door locked. That's why I am on this site right now.

as a help to limit travel, Immigration should put hold on need for border runs and simply grant or deny extensions at local Immigration office.

That would be like GB having shortened tavern hours and expecting fewer bar fights.
