it's called risk mitigation or prevention if one is infected and is sitting next to your table.

Would you like that ....  no of course not. Wearing a mask will help and decrease the chance of you catching the virus from another person as they may cough next to you.

But there is no COVID in Thailand. If afraid of tourists, require quarantine for long-stay tourists, ban short stays. Do business via internet.

Problem is that Pubs and bars their activity is one of the most risky for corvid spread. So yes they need to have restrictions otherwise they can become a hotbed of infections.

Just accept that these times are not normal times. I also don't like things but its needed to curb spread of the virus. So far Thailand has done great with its lock down. Would be a waste to open up and then have to start over with more strict rules because of pub goers spread the virus.

Id love for all of this to be over, but its not.

Of course its not wrong to voice opinion but its just the way it is the business model of a pub is a dangerous one (for corvid spread) hence the limitations.

I wonder what is better being totally closed or having restrictions. Maybe he should think about that.

Talking brings forth options. Here's mine: No COVID reported in Thailand. Problem is tourists are higher risk. Current solution is to act as if COVID is rampant. How about bars and discos and stadiums go back to normal, and tourists are not allowed in those venues until they have been in country for 14 days. An app, a Thai government I.D. or a retirement visa required. After 14 days a visitor could get an app. A bar could opt out and operate under the 22 rules, making it open to all, including new arrivals.

       Now what's your idea?

Uh? Jomtien always told us (many friends and I, in retirement) that we didn't need to make a TM.30 report as long as our main address doesn't change. Never did during years.

They told me I only had to report if returning from another country. Then they changed it and said if my stay away domestically was more than 24 hours I had to report. The sign posted in room 10 at Jomtien reflected this. And then I read that it changed again.

  4. Any moral man would never pay a prostitute for sexual relief. Rather, he would do as many upstanding posters on here woul do. He would go to a club, or go online, where they could lie about their marital status, their income, their affection for that night's target, and get it for free. I commend thee gentlemen. The world is such a better place.

China, wasn't they the ones that started the whole thing? where they the ones that continued to cover up their real numbers? second wave you say, but they have been so transparent and open throughout so surely they should be top of the list...

Sarcasm alert for the hard of thinking..

China is perfect for providing tourists to Thailand. They arrive packed on a charter flight, travel together on packed buses, stay together in packed hotels, sightsee together in packed marching order, and return home the same way. If there is COVID-19 about, they will infect each other.

I used to take them until recently, but at 750 baht they were getting pricey here, so I recently purchased Bioton multivitamins 50 capsules x 2 for 700 baht on special at Watsons, the vitamin D dose in them is 400iu vs 20 micorgrams in Centrum S 50+ which is in fact a higher dose, however also purchased Vitamin D on its own, 60 capsules for 400 baht which has 1,000iu, that said, we only need 800iu per day in the supplement form, so I am overdosing but getting a higher dose for about the same amount of outlay ????

I eat an orange on the balcony. I found there to be sunshine outside.

  7. Lindbergh admired Hitler. I guess his statues on two continents will soon disappear.

Paintings of all the world's political, educational, scientific, musical, moral, and city-building leaders will have to be covered or removed if they ever told a joke or wrote a memo that could make someone somewhere uncomfortable.

The thing to do is stop calling them monuments; call them history preservation statues. Push a button and hear the good, the bad, and the ugly. Trump's could go on for weeks. Thank gawd the first part can be skipped.

Come on now. There is very limited testing here. Therefore those numbers are highly questionable.

Therefore I think such a low ranking which will be shocking to many is quite fair and realistic.

If the government was 'adjusting' the numbers it would be to reopen the economy and lure in visitors, and they would have done that by now. But they haven't thrown the doors open so what would be the point? To cut down on international aid to Thailand?
