Shame they all werent, but yours is the exception not the rule. As a qualied Therapist and former University teacher in the subject I know too.

Well, don't come up into this area as all the shops are regularly inspected and a copy of the qualification certificates of every girl that works in the shop must be kept and along with the shop certification and the licence presented every 12 months when we are inspected and our licence renewed

And you think these massage girls woukd know and fully understand what you are telling them.Give me a break.

Well don't come into our shop because you will be told where to go if you are not going to give the information that is expected of you. For the record CharlieH we have a massage shop and my wife has 5 certificates from the Ministry of Public Health in regards to her qualifications and the shop is also certified by the Ministry of Public Health and licenced by the Ministry of Public Health and also by the Provincial Government

Explain to me how a "customer" can determine what treatment /product etc is relevent to any condition he may have ? Only the therapist can determine that.

The very first thing any Doctor wil do is ask questions, thats the point.Yes the cudtomrr has to disclose if asked but a "customer" may not think something is relevent because they are not qualified to determine if it is or not.

You honestly believe most of these massage girls give a hoot if you have high blood pressure or have been u dergoing chemotherapy, kr would know if you told them !

But it is up to you to tell the doctor that I have this symptom so that he has somewhere to start but according to your standards it is up to the doctor to ask all the questions first. It is your responsibility to freely give the information to your doctor or your therapist first so that they can then ask additional questions if needed to work out what procedures can be safe done

Ludicrous to attempt to compare the two.It is upto the Therapist to determine what or if any treatment is suitable,

You are trying to move  your responsibility in informing the therapist of any medical condition that you know you have that could be detrimental to what the therapist can do from you onto the therapist. Accept your responsibility in informing them as a person should do. So you do not inform the doctor of your ailment and expect him to waste his time trying to diagnose what is wrong with you.

Bit late AFTER the event and demonstrates the point perfectly.

Imagine if you had a nut allergy and she used almond oil !!! certain medications react badly with certain aromatherapy oils too. The list goes on. Dangerous in the wrong hands and no formal training.

If you go to a cafe and order a dish that could have nuts in it and you fail to inform the waiter/waitress that you have a nut allergy whose fault is that? You cannot shift the blame for failing to inform the people of your medical condition

  6. But the other side of this story is this madman being sacked from the police for selling drugs last year. It appears that this government is not interested in drug trafficking when it has appointed a minister into its own government who is a convicted, sentenced and deported after serving his sentence for drug trafficking in Australia with the excuse that it does not count because it happened outside of Thailand .Once a drug pusher always a drug pusher.

There's no questions here to be asked, and no solution either, it's simply impossible to predict or to protect against every would me mad man who's in a an uncontrolled, drug induced psychotic rage picks up gun and goes on to kill children...

Unfortunately ezzra there are questions to be answered and there was a solution that would have stopped this massacre. Why was this ex-cop released on bail or was he never arrested and placed on remand after his sacking in a remand centre like every other person after they are charged with these drug offences? If this had been done then he would have been removed from the streets and be in a controlled area where he could have been rehabilitated from the drugs and then after his remand and jail time he would not be going into an uncontrolled drug induced psychotic rage. Why does it take over a year for this ex-cop to appear in court for these offences? There are a lot of questions both the government and the judiciary owe the families of those murdered.

Very sad story, driving standards are very different to those in Australia.

Doesn't matter if you are in the right

or what speed the bike was traveling

    or how many passengers

    or not wearing a helmet,

    or whether it was roadworthy.

Any accident in Thailand, if a child is injured you are at fault and liable.

The  law in this matter is exactly the same as the law in Australia. You must give way to ALL traffic on a public road when you are exiting private property. The SUV driver entered private property to do a u-turn therefore he MUST give way to ALL traffic on the public road, which he failed to do. No excuse the SUV failed to give way to All vehicles on the public road thus the driver of the SUV is guilty of causing the deaths of those 2 students

You could up in places like Pattaya, around midnight, seeing tourists looking dazed, confused and being led off to their hotels and condos by girls one third of their age (some with 5-o-clock shadows) just to make sure their gold, cash and other valuables are safe.

    Hold on a minute !!!!!!!

What the girls have 5-o-clock shadows?

  9. Remember you are not a Lazada customer. You are only using the Lazada platform for free. You are a customer of the seller who must pay a commission to Lazada for everything they sell. Lazada could not give a s***f about you because you do not pay Lazada, you pay the seller.

  10. When you fill in the visa application you are filling in a legal document and if any of the information that you put in that document is incorrect then the IO has the full law of refusing entry. If you fill in that you are a tourist and when the IO scans your passport and the data base shows that you have only been out of the country for 5 days in the last 6 months then you are not a tourist and you have submitted a false document and the IO has the full right to refuse you entry and it is the same with visa exempt. Plus the IO will test you if you have been in the country for long periods of time using tourist visa's and visa exempt and they will see what your attitude reaction is when they tell you that entry refused.

  11. I just went to go into Lazada on my laptop but the website came up in Thai and then changed to English and the top section where you "Login" was different, it did not have the "Login" button but a "Sign In" button instead which did not work. I checked the "Language" button and it showed that I was in the Thai language so I changed the language to English and the whole home page changed to the way it should have been with the "Login" button. So maybe this is the problem when people are saying "when they try to "Sign In", there language setting has changed in the Lazada website somehow and they have a "Sign In" button instead of the "Login" button. Check your "Language" setting when you have a "Sign In" button

  12. I just logged in to my account with no problem. Just a thought, are you hitting the log-in button or are you hitting the sign up button in error. I have done this a couple of times and if you hit the sign-up button by error it causes problems getting into the account

  13. You got it wrong FriendlyFarang. What happened on June 23 which was published in the Royal Gazette on June 24 was that the mandate for wearing a mask out in the public (not in the shopping centres or any other enclosed areas) was changed to be a persons option to wear a mask or not but this is only in public places like parklands, the beach, or any other area in the open but not at any sporting or entertainment events where there is a crowd.

  14. There are 2 things that contributed to this accident and neither of them have to do with this mans age.

    1: the wires hanging low

2: the rider not paying attention to what is in front of him

Being an ex-pat he should have been aware that at any point and at any time wires are going to be hanging low.

Looking at his injured head I would say that he was not wearing a helmet at the time and now he wants to blame everything on the cable companies.

Why wasn't he watching where he was going?

Why wasn't he wearing his helmet as is required by law.

Yes, low hanging wires are a problem but being an ex-pat living in this country and riding a motorbike he should have been more aware of this problem.

I'm 77 and still drive a car and ride a motorbike and wear a helmet at all times but I am aware of the different things about that cause problems on the road

With a moniker of SAFETY FIRST , I would have thought you would

have more sympathy with the old rider who was injured through no

fault of his own , riding a motorbike you are expected  to look forward,

in rear view mirrors ,and what's happening on both sides, NOW you

are forced to look above ......not acceptable ,the next one may not

so lucky .... and there will be a next one.

    regards Worgeordie

For him to run into the wires they were not above him but in front of him where he should have been looking. If they were above him he would not have gotten tangled in them

And what I wanted to say with lazy to lift: it should not still be on half mast. Today is the 20th.

Yes, today is the 20th and it is a Friday and Thailand doesn't normally follow the international flag etiquette with the lowering the flag at sunset and re-hoisting it at sunrise and as tomorrow will be Saturday there will be no one at work at the government offices to raise the flag back up again so you can expect them to stay at half-mast until Monday

Having the right to live together, and having the right to permanent residency are two very different things.

Okay if it's so easy to enforce then take Thailand to whatever court they need to go to and get it resolved once and for all.

    You'll become a local legend.

Just ignore it because it is either a troll or one of these stupid human rights idiots

Terrible how uncivilized countries treat migrant people.

I heard rumors about inhuman migration laws in australia. Refugees should even be locked up in camps on remote islands, is that right?

I did years ago the same (getting residence) for my thai wife in my home country.

Took me 5 minutes at the local community (immagration was not even involved).

She got immediately permanent residence valid for 5 years at zero costs (including work permit), she would be able to buy land and house on her name and became after 5 years citizen.

Yes and that is too make sure that they are legitimate refugees not like some countries that let any type in even criminals with out checking them and what we found in Australia was that many were sham marriages just to get into the country under the so called human rights convention that it was proved to be a stupid convention and was then ignored after criminals were accepted into the country and Australia became a much better country with better checks on immigrants wanting to come into Australia. Australia is even rounding up the New Zealand criminals and deporting them back to New Zealand
