  1. In Thailand it is always “might” not “will”. And might usually seems to mean “probably not”
  2. It’s math. A good girl can do 6 or more “massages” in a day. Renting is much cheaper.
  3. The majority of condo owners are Thai. All owners, both Thai and foreign are breaking the law by intentionally renting to whoever they can for whatever number of days. And of course daily rental rates are higher than monthly rental rates and nobody prosecutes anybody for almost anything including murder, rape and incest. Also, didn’t we all move to this country because you can slip and slide between the laws that seem meant to be broken. Thais break them all the time and we just follow their lead.
  4. Funny I didn’t know visa overstay was a drug related offense
  5. Thai people have an aversion to using technology as that would improve their ability to do their jobs and then their bosses might expect more performance and that would make them have to actually perform a job. All these big words are scary for workers in Thailand
  6. Agreed. Also great location for Pattaya’s first casino
  7. Even elephants are legal. Driving an elephant while you are drunk is probably safer than an ATV.
  8. Renters are not breaking any law. The owner of the unit should be prosecuted. In Thailand the unknowing foreigner is harassed because Thai police are ineffective and cannot do their job properly.
  9. They would first have to explain the word - responsible, which is beyond comprehension to Thais or any non-Japanese Asians
  10. Tour agency should be fined 100,000 baht per farang for taking them into a restricted area. It is 100% their fault and they should showcase this on channel 23 and 7, showing that business operators are responsible. I would also shutter their business for a month - confiscate their boat.
  11. I think they mean non-stop. High speed in Thailand would be really scary. Zero maintenance and zero understanding equals disaster
  12. Definitely. I know I personally drink 2 bottles of Dom Perignon @ 15,000 baht a bottle every afternoon and get really upset when Tops closes their liquor sales. I thought all backpackers were like me.
  13. Maybe the entire story is fake news and just a way to make money. Seems this story keeps replaying with different names and photos - but always same story.
  14. Kids can buy beer in family run stores. I have my wife’s niece (8) run to the local shop when I need a refresher.
  15. Police man crashed his pickup last week. The back was loaded with hundreds of cartons of vapes. Thai news commented. “Aren’t they illegal”.
  16. Definitely important to keep reading those IQ-Air readings. That will solve everything. Timely government intervention - 555!!!!!
  17. What do you mean “they”, everyone likes to gamble
  18. The afternoon starts at 12pm (noon) and then midnight is 12am
  19. Old days were the same - if you were caught on the street - if you arrive at the airport to depart the country, you can still visit the overstay counter and pay 50 baht.
  20. Where is the path? The LOS - land of stupid, just gets stupider everyday. Why would we not be told?
  21. They didn’t mention that I also awarded Pattaya something
