Fair questions, to sum up for me personally without going into details, it’s like having to wear a seat belt when driving, it helps but you can still have a serious accident that will land you in hospital or worse.

We were discussing this in school today for our science session, 70% is the minimum required as you are aware, any less is a recipe for disaster. -

Gotta say I’ve yet to see anyone suggesting it would be the end of 2022 or 2023, I have seen them say when the vaccination levels are high enough. I’ve got a few friends waiting to come over from the UK but they are firstly waiting for Thailand to be taken off the red list and further waiting for the rule changes that occur when Thailand does reach required targets to be in place to see what they are, until then they are staying firmly put or looking at other options. How about you, will you wait for a bit yet to get to Thailand? -
Kids should be in school now but the finer detail of getting all teachers vaccinated was lost in the strategy, they are starting to open some now under strict covid rules. It would also be useful to get their parents vaccinated, too many have already died leaving orphaned children in Thailand, thousands of them.

COVID-19: Thailand reports 13,798 new coronavirus cases and 144 deaths

Never been to one but a few weeks ago we had a small group of Thai teachers visit us at school, I work in an International School that additionally has some boarding accommodation. Their visit was to just see our policies and how procedures were carried out.As you can imagine there are quite a few when a school is not only educating but also caring for them 24/7. However when we realized they did not even have a child protection policy, we knew everything else would be downhill. -

Same thing happened to a friend of mine when we entered Thailand through ASQ a few months ago. No big deal, shows they carrying out the testing correctly. -
Thailand Will Adopt New Policy to Reopen within This Year

UK is changing to lateral flow tests when you arrive back from 1st Oct according to the update by Boris today, so much cheaper, when you actually come to Thailand then you will of course need fit to fly certificate pcr test but as you know boots the chemist is everywhere and it’s 85 pounds there, 48 hour turnaround time. Better than the cheaper places that often take longer. -
Over 84% of Thailand’s COVID fatalities had not been vaccinated
coolcarer replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The Bangkok Post has a more detailed article on this news today, the figure for deaths in fully vaccinated people is 107 or 0.8%. No mention of which vaccines, -
Same situation here, we’ve still got teachers waiting for second dose, we go to an empty school each day and deliver online lessons to the students, frustrating to say the least. Once all teachers and parents are vaccinated then students should be allowed back with covid measures implemented, negative tests, and sensible but robust procedures. The debate on vaccinating adolescents is complex and In my opinion should be guided by solid evidence.

Basically yes it did for a long period of time in the midst of the pandemic and lockdowns, although it’s starting to return again now. Just google “why did flu disappear” first page will give you enough credible links and the reasons. -
I was in the UK when they were the first country in the world to administer a Pfizer to an elderly woman in early December, the following week both my grandparents has their first shots. The UK was one of the best performing countries for investment and vaccine procurement, this is a thread about vaccines so the UK PM and his performance on the that is a million miles away from the missteps here through lack of planning.

Thailand reports 15,191 new COVID-19 cases and 253 more deaths

Best to also spare a thought for the desperate local Thai’s in Pattaya, the homeless, those relying on food handouts after losing their livelihoods with next to no support from officials channels. They are the ones who are really suffering. For those of us that are able, we live in their home country, if we are working as I am or comfortable financially then much needed help not matter how small would be appreciated by them. That is not a charity request just a thought. Phuket is probably the same as are all the previous tourist hotspots. Not sure what the situation is like in the other Provinces like Issan although I have a few friends from work there and they say it’s not as bad? -

It’s the least effective vaccine that’s a fact, not slander by any means. It’s a vaccine that most countries have taken out of need not from preference. It helps but it’s like a cheap car, it works but breaks down more than a better quality one. If China wants some respect then try selling it the same as Aztrazeneca, cost price! They are making a killing (excuse the pun) from its sale worldwide along with their covid PPE equipment. -

Upvote for your post, Health Minister Anutin predicted 1 million a day, conspiracy theory or not. Show of support for all the nurses and associated helpers who achieved these figures. downvote for Anutin. -

At what point was that claimed to be a fact? Times 10 or times 5 it would be more that is the fact. It’s about comparing road deaths to covid, try again without apples or defection. -

What facts are you talking about? You missed the full content of my post and focus on apples, why not elaborate if you can, asking too much I know
