i have no idea what brazil would be like, but i have been told i wouldnt like manila.
my primary objective in life is not another visa run, or anything else that causes more pain
why not go see for yourself rather than following others' opinions?

Will there be a recount or independent audit by a major accounting firm in case someone has hacked in a tampered with the voting apparatus. Would hate to see a repeat of Miss Universe debacle.

Theme song for this thread.

OP - I'm glad you posted this. Your previous post on this topic served as a model for how I wanted my wife to behave when she came to the States. So I spent a couple of years slowly talking her down from the typical loser mindset you describe and so far the groundwork has paid off and we're enjoying a normal life in a good community with no input whatsoever from the local Isaaner clique. Like your wife, this is a lifestyle choice she now sees the value of herself. Thanks again.
You sound like a control freak.

well, what other reason is there to leave genuine quality,
beside dodging cold weather & high living cost ?
If your sole criteria is to live as a skinflint in the tropics, why not choose a Brazilian favela or Manila slum. Rents are cheap and visas are easy to come by. Just get a good kevlar vest.

its pain that weighs into decision making process,
if i had gone to caribbean straight away, i wouldnt have had to put up with a single visa run.
now i'm too crippled to first go there and then find out where everything is, but for someone that isnt 50 years old yet, i recommend dont bother with asia when there are EU countries that has tropical resorts
Terrible food and crime problems in most of those islands though. Thailand is a million times better. Not everyone is looking simply for "tropical"

The hotel probably has a pay daily policy and as the OP hadnt paid for a few days , they asked him to leave .
Phoning his daughterr in law, threatening the manager , posting on here , referring to himself as a vagabond , thinking of calling the police , the aggressive hotel staff : Just go and pay the hotel bill, you drama queen
You may have nailed it and therein lies the rub. Drama queens seek to create drama rather than quietly resolving the matter behind the scenes!

Whoever wants to win this, needs to fly down to Phuket and get a pic and endorsement from Lindsey Lohan (or the snake that just bit her?)

So now someone else who has made a booking will be told to go elsewhere.
More fireworks may be yet to come! Maybe on New Year's Eve no less!

I called my daughter in Law in Bangkok, she found the telephone number of the owner, called her, if you throw my dad out you will have a big problem with me, not with him because he is a good man, and do not want a problem with anyone.
The owner came 2 minutes ago OK I am sorry you can stay, but what she did not know a few minutes ago, I saw the hotel employee who told me aggressively "must go"
We paid for a few more day so the end of the story.
Happy ending! Love the old "he is a good man" schtick....how many times a day does that phrase get tossed about! But that wasn't what solved this. The OP dug into his pocket and finally shelled out. Money talks, BS takes the bus!

You must be smarter than all the PhD Biologists and Oceanographers we have here?
Definitely smarter than whoever thought up this idiotic idea!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osborne_Reef
The project ultimately failed, and the "reef" has come to be considered an environmental disaster—ultimately doing more harm than good in the coastal Florida waters.
Maybe your high falutin education that you keep trying to convince everyone of was not so falutin after all!

You cannot accept some people control their own destiny by being educated and having a plan?
If you trapped yourself there, it is your own fault.
Now P.O.
I have to go to the beach where you won't see 100 tons of plastic washing up
I hope you are not heading to the Ft Lauderdale toxic tire reef! Same same but different!

Should have paid up front, simple!

Yeah some of those caribbean visa runs, you have to swim!

The majority of ‘intelligent’ Brits know who enemy no1 is in reference to that issue, my Tony Blair probably one of the most despised men in the U.K. although I agree the pair of poodles Bush & Blair are idiots.
I spent my fair share of time in that dusty AOR to know a good working relationship between the US, Canadian & Dutch troops during those early Telic days.
I’ll never forget departing a plane at Baghdad Int Airport to be immediately approached by two US personnel & sharing a brew within the confines of the safe area before departing to SC area.

1 big question. Is there a large Irish population in Surin? If so just head to their places and borrow a few. When it comes to potatoes always blame the Irish!
Most of the Irish I know would be more upset if the Guiness taps ran dry than worrying about a few taters

RIP...hopefully some of the smart-alecs posting here will not have suffer through the TVF post-mortem roasting that they dished out to this poor guy!
