Living in Isaan, I occationly go to pattay. Visiting friends comming there on a hollyday. Never had problems. Drinking 24/7. No problem. It is up to you. You wanna leave dangerous you do. But stay with friends, make friends. Go to a bar close to where you live. Talk to the locals, be polite. Have a good time. Works good in thai and rest of the world. Be an <deleted>, and you will find trouble.
Some times it is better to reatreet, so you can fight an other day. Dont be stupid, enjoy your holliday??
I think the Lao Khao you drank before writing that was really good!

The old farts stay alive from never getting too far away from the charger for their pacemaker. The cost of an extension cord from home to Soi Buakhao would be prohibitive.

The speed he was traveling
Be careful with that generalization. There is a Russian F1 driver, Kvyat who is considerably slower than the top dogs. Had you said driving "erratically", than this would be consistent with the crash prone Russian F1 driver's technique.

Alot of speculation as to what happened, without any facts. There are many possibilities. Re the gofundme page, do not concur re. Thai roads, as they are excellent and better than many OECD countries.

He had a stern no emotion look about him and he was returning from 7-11, beers in the bag?
what a ridiculous stereotype....Russian ballarinas and figure skaters display great emotion. Did the guy at least do a pirrouette?

It's all about redundancy. Rather than whingeing, OP should put an action plan in place, or move.

Sorry, but you seem to making a problem out of nothing.
If she's that fussy, just work out what you think is a fair amount for her to spend on food and give that to her, to take care of her own meals.
It really isn't your problem at all.
I must have been lucky as my wife did all the cooking when she wasn't working, including for me.
I didn't cook for her as she only liked stuff that smelled horrible, most of the time.
Well said...PT Barnum would be rolling his eyes reading this thread!

I didn't usher a pedestrian across a road it was a bl@@dy zebra crossing for goodness sake. You know those things on which pedestrians have a right of way. And you don't know whether I checked that other vehicles weren't likely to mow them down do you!!! Give me some credit please and don't tell me what I can and can't do.
Sorry I agree with the other guy. "Rights" is a very subjective concept, and it is better to be wrong and stay alive, than right and dead.

If you are indeed "lending" money to family, you are not actually lending money, but giving it. The "lend" word is merely a soft approach to asking for money. Don't confuse the two.
It should be pretty obvious that people who need money now are not likely to have extra money in the future to pay you back. If you don't want to see them again, by all means - lend them money. They will avoid you like the plague in the future.

Is that VDO for real? Who was using the camera?
I don't doubt that it happens, but that looks like a set up.
Every day I thank the deity I never had any children. One catastrophe I managed to avoid, more by good luck than any plan.
When the government starts telling parents they can't smack their children it's time to either not have any or hand them over to the government to raise.
NB smacking is not cruel and unusual punishment, it is child training.
Assault is what they used on us at school when I was young, and it is right that they stopped it.
The gene pool thanks you.

It's really hard to find good borscht in a restaurant in any country, even Russia or Ukraine. Good (not wormy) beets are hard to come by here. They take a long time to cook and the soup requires caraway seed. Cold, like gazpacho, or hot, good borscht is a very satisfying meal. Just make sure you get saome heavy, black rye bread on the side!
OK am salivating now....does anywhere in Pattaya come even close to this? Maybe some of our Russian friends need to weigh in some potential locations?

Meanwhile in other news, there was a 200% surge in purchases of business class tickets on the airline in question.

Does Premium Economy ticket qualify for anything?

Fantastic news. I hope they eradicate the anti-social and unhealthy evil that smokers represent.

Thanks for responses so far.
