I've met Chris at his bar, and he seems to me to be a happy peaceful kind of guy. I would be very surprised if he had instigated some trouble.

But you don't need to do too muchto offend some drunk louts in the early hours of the morning. How about you stop blaming him until you actually know what happened. He seems to be the victim here.

Does losing a fight automatically make someone a victim?  What if he had won?

Living in Isaan, I occationly go to pattay. Visiting friends comming there on a hollyday. Never had problems. Drinking 24/7. No problem. It is up to you. You wanna leave dangerous you do. But stay with friends, make friends. Go to a bar close to where you live. Talk to the locals, be polite. Have a good time. Works good in thai and rest of the world. Be an <deleted>, and you will find trouble.

Some times it is better to reatreet, so you can fight an other day. Dont be stupid, enjoy your holliday??

I think the Lao Khao you drank before writing that was really good!

I found some great pizza at Pizza Boss on Soi Lengkee. I've never had pizza this good in asia before.  They were also making a special order of bagels and I was able to talk the lady into selling me a few. The Bagels were delicious too.

The pizza looks good, the bagels a bit unusual.

Sorry, but you seem to making a problem out of nothing.

If she's that fussy, just work out what you think is a fair amount for her to spend on food and give that to her, to take care of her own meals.

It really isn't your problem at all.

I must have been lucky as my wife did all the cooking when she wasn't working, including for me.

I didn't cook for her as she only liked stuff that smelled horrible, most of the time.

Well said...PT Barnum would be rolling his eyes reading this thread!

I didn't usher a pedestrian across a road it was a bl@@dy zebra crossing for goodness sake. You know those things on which pedestrians have a right of way. And you don't know whether I checked that other vehicles weren't likely to mow them down do you!!! Give me some credit please and don't tell me what I can and can't do.

Sorry I agree with the other guy.  "Rights" is a very subjective concept, and it is better to be wrong and stay alive, than right and dead.

Is that VDO for real? Who was using the camera?

I don't doubt that it happens, but that looks like a set up.

Every day I thank the deity I never had any children. One catastrophe I managed to avoid, more by good luck than any plan.

When the government starts telling parents they can't smack their children it's time to either not have any or hand them over to the government to raise.

NB smacking is not cruel and unusual punishment, it is child training.

Assault is what they used on us at school when I was young, and it is right that they stopped it.

    The gene pool thanks you.

It's really hard to find good borscht in a restaurant in any country, even Russia or Ukraine. Good (not wormy) beets are hard to come by here. They take a long time to cook and the soup requires caraway seed. Cold, like gazpacho, or hot, good borscht is a very satisfying meal. Just make sure you get saome heavy, black rye bread on the side!

OK am salivating now....does anywhere in Pattaya come even close to this?  Maybe some of our Russian friends need to weigh in some potential locations?
