They want you to go there and mention their showroom cars being sterilized.  Encouraging car shopping when staying home and distancing is the general recommendation.

    Seems irresponsible.

They are not "encouraging car shopping", that was just you saying that.

Toyota is encouraging free car sterilisation.  Hard to see how that is irresponsible as they are not opening their service centres for that sole purpose.  Seems a pretty good idea to me.

Nothing like a newbie posting scaremongering third party hearsay to set off another pointless 30-page thread.

I'm sure you can account for half a page!

I'm sure that you will be able to back up your claim that I post scaremongering, third party hearsay.  Let's see it.

There's no map per-sé - shutdown affects Bangkok

Certain types of business, (they've all been listed very clearly) and locations, eg shopping malls, are affected. <trolling comment removed>

If your DIY shop, or any other shop, is in a mall then it should, obviously, be closed, if it's not then there's no reason for it to be closed.

We charge people living outside 100 Baht to use the pool, but evidently they won't be allowed in any more. The notice also says that guests staying with residents are not allowed to use it, but how they'll enforce that I've no idea.

Maybe they're relying on residents to be reasonable in their understanding of the reasons for restrictions and to do the right thing regarding guests?

It can mailed within a window of 15 to 7 days before the report date.

My report date was the 16th , on the 12th I phoned them if I can do it by registered mail , they said NO , too late already .

    ( Phang Nga )

That fits in with the requirement, you were at four days before the report date, three days too late.

There's an Irish pub in Soi 7/1?  Which one?  You're not referring to the Pickled Liver, are you, which used to be all the way down on the right?

Yeah that one. Guess it's gone.

The Pickled Liver wasn't an Irish pub.

It won't happen, obviously, people cannot be banned from buying food for god's sake!  Why your scaremongering?

I'm not scaremongering, don't talk like a fool. Haven't you seen pictures of cities in lock-down in Europe? Absolutely nothing moving. So of course I am seeking opinions, not least because my pension isn't paid for another week and we do not have the option to go shopping now until we get more money - but how could you have known that? You just answered with the first silly comment that came into your head!

"I'm not scaremongering, don't talk like a fool. Haven't you seen pictures of cities in lock-down in Europe?"

Which cities, anywhere, have closed all food shops and stopped citizens from going out to buy food?

"You just answered with the first silly comment that came into your head!"

    The silly comments aren't mine.

"...we do not have the option to go shopping now until we get more money - but how could you have known that?"

Exactly, how could anyone have known that?!   Doesn't alter the fact that no government is going to prevent it's citizens from buying food!

If exposed to someone with fever, we are instructed to self isolate for 14 days, even if we have no symptoms.

You're context is Thai Immigration so where has that instruction regarding exposure to someone who has a fever been announced in Thailand, and by whom?  Specifically.  One example would do.

Does anyone know if there is an actual government ruling and if so I would be grateful for a link to the article.

Why?  Are you going to demand that the pool is opened just for you if there's no ruling or link?

"I am also most surprised because swimming in a chlorine treated pool seems to be far more effective against virus transmission than washing hands or wearing a mask".

You may be "most surprised" also that a chlorinated pool does not stop you, or others, breathing, coughing or sneezing the virus in the direction of other pool users.  Unless you're swimming in a mask, of course!
