No he didn't manage to do that, read the OP properly. Fidelis, the one with the 9-year overstay, (or "Fedderlix or Gamara"), was not the one doing the traveling, the OP very clearly states that he was the ringleader that the traffickers led the police to.
Your comment is much more telling about the ability of comprehension of some members than it is of "how poor Thai Immigration officers are".
To be fair, the headline is wrong and states that the person on overstay is the smuggler.
To be more fair, the content of the OP (where most people wanting to criticise should get their information) isn't wrong and explains exactly who was on a 9-year overstay.

So he managed to go in and out of Thailand smuggling ice to Japan with a 9 year old visa. More telling of how poor Thai Immigration officers are than anything else..

"have 2 orders running for delivery by Lazada..."
That's interesting. How did you manage that bearing in mind that Lazada doesn't have masks listed for sale? They have a recorded message on their phone that confirms that also and offers apologies.

You can still use your hands to sort through the meats until you find a piece you like then move on to do the same for the chicken as I see nearly everytime I go there!
It's ok, not many people eat their meat raw these days.

So without one of these useless masks, you can't even buy groceries!
That's not exactly true, you could always go to another shop for your groceries, Makro's not the only place to shop, or order online. There's plenty of masks available on Shopee if you bothered to look, at least there were a couple of days ago, I had some delivered today.

total and utter BS; we all know that
It is not "total and utter BS", it is a fact.

Now that is "total and utter BS".

I don't really feel like sending my passport in the mail. I live so close to the immigration that if I'm going to the post office I might as well just go to the immigration office instead.
You don't send your passport.

Brilliant. 11 replies and not ONE addressed OP, question. Well apart for #2.
He didn't ask a question, he made a statement.

What did the OP's letter to the British Embassy contain?
You mean the letter that in his OP he said he didn't have?

There is no "24-hour lockdown" (when no one can leave their homes for any reason), neither has it been suggested that there will be a complete 24-hour lockdown and neither will there be one, how could there be a total ban on any movement?
But, if your hypothetical situation did arise, don't you think that announcements would be made that would answer your question?
A 24 hour lockdown doesn't mean you have to stay indoors 24/7. It's been explained already in several posts. Don't you read posts before you're posting yourself?
Why didn't you read my post before posting your own?..."and neither will there be one, how could there be a total ban on any movement?" That's part of what I said. I wasn't asking what a 24-hour lockdown would be!

It's ok for you bald guys but some of us have a full head of hair and it needs cutting
Same here, I'm glad to say that I still have my hair also.
It's the naturally bald (and deliberately but pretending to be naturally 'cool') bald ones that I feel sorry for!

If I wanted to I could visit a friend, or vice versa, right now without breaking any laws.
i guess you are right.
i was told by the Thai government you can only go out to find food, pharmacy or hospital.
no visiting anyone. no laundry, no maid, no stopping to talk to anyone. Get into the grocery store, get your stuff and get out fast. go straight home.
Yes, maybe that's how you interpreted it (and not interacting with others at all clearly makes sense) but that would be advice, not law, at the moment.
If you want to visit someone, get your laundry done, have the maid come around or talk to anyone, you can. Millions of people still have to go to work, the whole country hasn't been shut down. There's no police and troops on the street stopping everyone who's out asking where they're going and sending them back home. Yet.

technically this is illegal.
No one in their right mind could think that the OP's question is anything but extremely unwise but what is "technically illegal" (not ill-advised) about a person going to someone else's home at the moment? If I wanted to I could visit a friend, or vice versa, right now without breaking any laws.

There's no foot-shooting going on, they all know the consequences...but you'd have to have read and been able to comprehend the OP to know that...

I can help thinking like lots of guys on here all have money in some Thai banks
In the current situation when lots of us Farangs have at least 800k in a bank and the possibility of the bank going bust
Why would you even think about that, do you think that foreigners with their B800k in the banks are the ones that keep the banks afloat and what has prompted you to suggest that a bank may go down? Jesus...

Even in good times when there were rallies back in 2014 against Taksin there was a talk about certain bank going down. My ex wife pulled 3 million and so did many other customers.
So which bank "went down", then?

If we could know the motivations of the governor ....
And why foreigners and not Thai people?Where did he say it only applied to foreigners?...

What if they don't have any money to stay beyond their original two weeks?
They could use the money that they would have needed as soon as they got back home, living in the UK isn't free of charge! Unless they came out here with, literally, nothing to use when they got back.

It'd be interesting to know what "going about your normal life" entails. Are you going out to work or socialising as normal or is your "normal life" one of a hermit who normally has little social contact and would not be affected by the current circumstances?
