Over many years I've found the IO officers are very precise in their requirements and provide accurate statements on what they require. Some are more polite about it than others, but I’ve never once been asked for something that was not adequately explained or unreasonable.

We have two homes here, we three years ago changed our registers address from the coast to the mountains. At our coastal address visits were required every year, at our mountain address only one visit has been required. I last week submitted my request for extension and asked if a visit will be required as we plan to flee to the coast to get away from the PM2.5 pollution. ‘No, only on the first year’ was the answer. So two different offices, completely different requirements.

We had a visit the first year, none since. I invite all official visitors to sit on the patio at the rear of the house, nicely shaded and discreetly under the watchful eyes and ears of our security system.

Again, I’ve consistently argued in favor of addressing transgenders in sport by means of of competitor categories. I’ve never met anyone who would be regarded as an ‘average man’ in my sports career, competitive athletes are by definition well above ‘average’ and certainly way above those who’s participation in sports is from the sofa.

I’m not playing with words at all. I have simply re-stated my view on how the issue of transgender sports should be dealt with. The announcement in the OP is a step in the right direction but does not go far enough, competitor classifications for transgender need to be added, as I have consistently argued.

I, and others, have consistently argued that the resolution of how to deal with transgender people in sport must come from the sports governing bodies and that adding additional competitor categories is both logical and consistent with how sports are already managed. What is not necessary is the faux outrage. ….. I’ve not met any weak men, or women during my sporting career. Experiences differ.

I’ve spent my life competing in sport, often in events in which men and women were competing alongside of each other, I don’t recognize this ‘wreaking havoc’ of yours. Perhaps you are exaggerating for effect.

Probably because transgender sports is such a new development. Adapting to change takes time, pun intended.

Actually it has always been the job of sports governing bodies to deal with this. Nothing at all to do wit ‘woke/none woke’.

It’s the benefitting others’ bit that’s problematic.
