  1. Ukraine is engaged in a fight for its survival as an independent sovereign nation, it’s a tragic predicament forced upon it by the illegal invasion ordered by Putin. There’s nothing ‘suicidal’ about Ukraine’s fight, so please forgive inferences we might draw from you asserting this clear fallacy.
  2. Russia giving notice of intent to commit war crimes. The failure to surrender does not make any Ukrainian a bandit and Russia has not right in international law to disregard it’s treaty responsibilities towards combatants and civilians in war.
  3. Rephrased Russian propaganda. But I’ll agree with you on one thing, Biden has a lifetime of political and administrative experience, which he is employing in his administration’s response to Putin’s unprovoked invasion of a sovereign nation, for that we need to be thankful.
  4. Your statement was: I’ve provided unequivocal evidence that Putin had already accepted Ukraine is an independent sovereign nation. So now you attempt to change your argument. Sorry, your dishonest meandering line of argument is exposed.
  5. Emotional ranting, no matter how repugnant the rant, is not a war crime. Nor are the emotional rants of an individual private citizen a statement of Ukrainian government or military policy.
  6. I know what you think when you write it down and post it on here. Don’t describe Putin committing a war crime and then object to that being identified as a description of a war crime.
  7. What does international law say? The UN recognizes Ukraine as a sovereign nation and so did Putin when he signed into the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budapest_Memorandum_on_Security_Assurances Got any more ridiculously baseless objections to fact?
  8. So you have given up disputing that the Russian’s are committing war crimes.
  9. How on earth do you know? Putin does not retain power through popularity, he relies on two things; fear and the transactional support that comes from being useful to the few people who do have the power to remove him. Public demonstrations indicate fear isn’t working while the decimation of Russia’s economy and the humiliation of its military are certainly going to impact support amongst Russia’s controlling elite. Whatever Putin’s position was prior to this illegal invasion you can bet your bottom Ruble that it’s a lot more uncertain following the unmitigated disaster he’s hitched his survival too.
  10. Make no mistake about this, Putin is taking Biden very seriously and Xi has been put on notice to do likewise. And this is the whole point ironically, perhaps deliberately, being missed by Putin’s excusers when they engage in their whataboutary. The US is a democracy, the citizens vote and change the whole administration, by this means the nation changes direction, not so a totalitarian dictatorship. Now step back and observe the correlation between admiration of, even outright praising of Putin and efforts to restrict and undermine voting rights in the US and elsewhere.
  11. The whole point of the whataboutary is precisely that, excuse Putin. Utterly disgusting.
  12. You seem to have missed the bit about the US and EU, UK destroying the Russian economy.
  13. Yep, plenty of evidence of Russia ticking a number of those off.
  14. I will accept without question that on the basis of your comments you have had ‘some difficulty’ in accessing ‘unbiased reports’. I don’t feel it necessary to inquire what those ‘difficulties’ are.
  15. And by Russias online apologists, don’t forget those will you?!
  16. It requires a great deal of nativity to believe that Putin is even the slightest bit worried about being prosecuted. Putin has demonstrated his disdain for international law and he will never be tried in The Hague.
  17. Plus threatening to use nuclear weapons and absolutely laying the groundwork to use biological weapons. (Which he has already used to kill opponents). But….But…. But…… whatabout….?!
  18. It was President Biden who called Putin a war criminal, not former President Bush.
  19. Oh, so that makes Russia’s illegal invasion, and the Russian military war crimes and atrocities alright then.
  20. Some find his killing and the killings of thousands of others a matter for mirth.
  21. Let’s not forget the fact that the victim of this shooting, like thousands of others in Ukraine would still be alive if Russia has not illegally invaded.
  22. Going cap-in-hand to China with your economy in tatters and currency near worthless and credit rating at ‘trash’. China will burden Russia wit unplayable debt and strip the Russians of control Its natural resources. Enjoy.
  23. Putin is openly talking about ‘cleansing’ Russian society. Perhaps Ukrainians don’t want to suffer the same fate. As is their unequivocal right.
