Not quite true, it was the threat of revising the 1922 committee rules for a second confidence vote that convinced Theresa May to resign. Johnson has lost the confidence of his party, he needs to man up and resign.

Senior Tories are now likening Johnson’s refusal to accept the inevitable need to go to that of another rightwing narcissist the other side of the Atlantic. Well yeh!

I might have guessed it would be a woman’s fault.

Oddly though, when he appointed a known sexual predictor who then continued his sexual abuse Johnson, the decisive strong leader, backed his hand picked sexual predator. Lied about knowing anything about that man’s past behavior. Lied about being informed about that man’s recent behavior, only removed the whip when forced to do so by public opinion. He’s not a leader, he’s a weak, self serving liar.

Johnson’s sense of entitlement shows up again. Clinging on, firing those who give him advice he doesn’t want to hear. As some have mentioned, an 80 seat majority, and yet he still couldn’t hold his government together. The scores of people who have resigned have spoken openly about Johnson’s lack of truth, trust and decency. What a disgraceful excuse for a ‘leader’. The man has no shame.
