  1. So housing costs the percentage of income today as it did in the seventies?
  2. Nice switch. But not relevant to the topic of discussion. We’ll comeback to the national debt when Trump massively increases it. Right now he’s busy trashing the stock markets.
  3. The evidence in the form of the markets having risen during the time of Biden’s ‘spending’.
  4. The war can end tomorrow, all Putin has to do is withdraw his military from Ukraine.
  5. It’s the shilling for Putin bit that gets him the tag.
  6. Oh look you found my typo. Well done. Now, what peace deal did Zelensky reject while in the White House?
  7. I asked you because I know Trump doesn’t have a deal to end the war. Tge question is, are you are of that?!
  8. Farage has exposed himself as a Putin shill, incase there was ever any doubt. Priti Patel has responded, an indication that the Tories have at last decided to put a gap between themselves and Farage. Zelensky is a obvious hero in this war, he had wide support from the British public who are also negative on Trump. Farage is going to have start pretending he’s not said the things he has. https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/priti-patel-attacks-nigel-farage-over-zelensky-comments/
  9. Do you have any information on what Trump’s ‘deal to end the war is’?
  10. Somebody else who doesn’t understand economics. The rise in median income is meaningless without including the rise in the costs of essential goods and services; housing, health insurance, education, transport, food etc. The wealth of the working and middle classes is being hollowed out. By example, some facts: https://www.nationalworld.com/money/first-homes-1970s-ps52k-2024-ps200k-yorkshire-building-society-4723285#:~:text=By Jamie Jones,in the last six decades.
  11. “Since 2007, income per capita in the US has surged by 72%, while in the UK, it has actually declined by 2% in dollar terms.” The devil is in the detail. Per capita income tells us nothing about the incomes of the blue collar, working class/middle class, whose wealth has been progressively hollowed out since the late 1970s. You might recall we had a thread on this a few weeks back. Macro economic data tells us nothing about the struggles of people on low and middle incomes. I recommend Gary Stevenson as an alternative economic view to that of the rightwing ‘Adam Smith Institute’. Stevenson explains how it is economic inequality that is destroying the Uk economy, the Adam Smith Institute are peddling more of the failed ‘trickle down economics’ that is driving that inequality. Look him up before the rightwing press tell you what to think about him.
  12. Years spent undermining vaccination programs is not going to be reversed by wormhead making any comments. Tragically more deaths and injuries might be the only way the message gets through, and that’s only a ‘might’.
  13. Technology has found a possible fix for the Incels. Will we see less angst, anger and hate mongering on the Internet I wonder? Or are the words of Hawkins ‘Spirit of the age’ going to turn out to be prophetic. ’Your android replica is playing up again It's no joke When she comes she moans another's name But that's the spirit of the age…..’
  14. Careful with that Brit Bashing, you’ll upset the locals.
  15. Is that the rightwing modern equivalent of ‘the dog ate my homework’?
  16. You picked the wrong data to try and make a point. The issue is funding to the defense of Ukraine. Try this: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/crew8y7pwd5o.amp
