  1. It’s with a knowledge and understanding of history that I confidently state it will not last.
  2. Unless you earn over £150K per year and have assets of over £2 million you have no need to be concerned about my definition of ‘rich’. Which in any case plays no part in Government taxation plans.
  3. My answer does at least provide enough information for you to be able to decide if you yourself are anywhere near my definition of ‘rich’.
  4. Most of the mid career professionals I’ve worked with over the past ten years are earning salaries north of £150K per annum, several I know have assets of around £2million, they are not even close to my idea of being rich.
  5. They didn’t win the election. And I’m not sure Reform voters would be entirely adverse to the idea, though Farage himself might object.
  6. I’ll call bull crap on that. 1. I’m not promoting anyone. 2. A peace deal requires both sides to abide by the deal they negotiated, I clearly state ‘it looks like Hamas are keeping their side of the deal’, ‘let’s hope this continues and both sides abide by the deal they signed’. Only a twisted mind looking for a reason to be offended could read that as promoting anything other than compliance by both sides to the ceasefire. Do not repeat your libelous allegation of me supporting a terrorist organization again.
  7. What’s not a vote winner about taxing the rich and spending on public services?
  8. Can you produce your evidence that I don’t know the difference between the FTSE 100 And FTSE 250? To my recollection I made no comment on the matter, but I do accept you might have imagined I had.
  9. I can only imagine the joy of the families hearing news of their loved ones being returned. Rejoice, this is good news.
  10. It looks like Hamas are keeping their side of the deal. Lets hope this continues and both sides abide by the deal they signed. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/jan/19/gaza-ceasefire-deal-female-hostages-hamas-release
  11. My knowledge of European imperial history in Africa extends beyond the ‘Boys Own’ view that it was an act of generosity. Anyway, back to Reeves, ‘Trickle Down’ is dead.
  12. Wealth is created by people working. Let them go to sub-Sahara Africa, create a bit of wealth there to show us all how it’s done.
  13. Yes it was a lie, the nations wealth was being fed to the already wealthy, it was never going to trickle down (did I just say that?). Reeves has put a stop to ‘trickle down economics’. It’s good news.
  14. In February 2024 the BoE forecast the UK inflation rate for Q1 2025 to be 2.8%. The fact that is lower than the BoE forecasts is good news. Refer Table 1A https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/monetary-policy-report/2024/february-2024
  15. Yet more good news doom fixated won’t like: https://www.ig.com/uk/news-and-trade-ideas/ftse-100-hits-record-high--where-to-next--250117
  16. I absolutely have grasped the concept of ‘trickle down economics’, it’s a lie. Wealth does not ‘trickle down’, it never has done, never will do. Who suggested ‘everyone working for the state’? Oh you did…..
  17. The fact that the rightwing press a singing in unison off the same hymn sheet suggests Reeves is doing something right.
  18. Don’t panic, don’t panic: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cg45lwkx23xo.amp
  19. We, you included, are about to find out precisely what it is you support..
  20. I think you’ve misidentified who it is who has been disingenuous’ soon after securing the votes on promises that were never going to be kept.
  21. I suspect he lied. We’ll find out next week.
