I do support negotiations for peace and I do support the exchange of hostages, prisoners and captured military personnel. The ceasefire deal is not yet approved by the both sides, I hope it does get approved and I sincerely hope both sides abide by it.

As the BBC reports, the ceasefire deal is not yet approved by both sides with wrangling over issues that might still yet, though hopefully not, prevent its approval. Your inflammatory suggestion would without any doubt scupper this very important and necessary ceasefire.

Good news that hostages and prisoners are being released (exchanged) and too of a pause in the killing. Bad news of mission creep and continued Israeli occupation in Gaza, but it does at least expose the lie that if the hostages are released the killing will stop.

All based on your own preconceived notions of a hierarchy of jobs. I’m very clear on this, labouring, hod carrying and other low skill jobs are all honest ways to earn a living, essential too. I don’t subscribe to your opinion of ‘lowly hod carriers’. Maybe it’s a product of that British Class thing, but describing an honest days work as ‘lowly’ is definitely disdainful of the work and those who do it.
