    Hope now Grab can jack up prices to support the drivers.  Anyway, i prefer a tuk-tuk ride when in T'land.  Shitty Hondas, Toyotas and all the rest can be had in every city, but only T'land has cool tuk-tuks.

    Why? Fact is when there are discounts the drivers get the full amount ! Uber or grab take the loss! But now it’s a monopoly the prices are going to be higher and many of us won’t use the service in Bangkok !

    friend stuck in hospital with huge bill he can't pay,what now?

    I had a minor operation in Ayutthaya in a private hospital some years ago. No overnight stay just few hours ! The bill came to 75000 baht! My Thai partner made a vigorous complaint for some hours and it came down to 30,000bht . It just proves that even Hospitals will “try it on “ with falangs! And you need to make a big noise ! 500k for a leg operation? Ridiculous ! What did that include, a new prosthetic leg ?

    Ban Phe Bus station

    Thanks ! I am trying to get to Mae Phim which is about 12km away and have been told there are Songthaew buses that go between Ban Phe station and there , so I’m guessing it is at the location you stated
